The continuous applause from the audience in the theater at the end of the movie clearly indicates how successfully it has delivered its very spiritual message .
The rhythm of the suspicious story telling at the beginning parts of the film ,takes your thoughts and estimation far away from the actual roles of the main characters, that's considered as an achievement of the director that can playfully leave you with mixed feelings towards the characters and their actual intentions through out the flash backs within the scenses..
My congratulations to the whole team for this amazingly done performance.

Following numerous controversies, this much-anticipated film finally hit theaters. With a narrative centered on two significant Iranian historical figures and poets, Molana "Rumi" and his mentor Shams, the storyline held immense promise. However, the execution falls short of expectations. The movie suffers from a confused and inconsistent plot structure, frequently jumping back and forth between various points in the story. Moreover, it tends to focus more on peripheral side stories rather than delving deep into the core narrative. As a result, what could have been an epic Iranian historical biography movie is instead reminiscent of a Turkish romance drama. The film fails to fully capture the essence and significance of its central characters and their historical context. Despite its potential, it ultimately disappoints, leaving viewers wishing for a more cohesive and impactful cinematic experience.
Having delved deeply into the relationship between Molana and Shams, I can confidently say their story is one of the most powerful and stirring narratives of spiritual and emotional connection. Although Intoxicated doesn't exclusively center on their journey, it beautifully distills its spirit, offering viewers a glimpse into that profound love.
The film is more than just a retelling-it's an invitation to reflect. With its exploration of themes like love, war, identity, and societal structures, Intoxicated challenges us to reconsider how we live and relate to the world around us. It urges a conscious embrace of the present and highlights love as a radical force-one that can bridge divides, dissolve prejudice, and even bring peace where there was once conflict.
Ultimately, Intoxicated isn't just a film-it's an experience that stays with you long after the credits roll. It has the power to shift your worldview, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

This film has just been released in Iran, is directed by Hasan Fathi, and is based on the famous and true story of the friendship between Molan (Rumi) and Shams. Although I did not expect to watch a high-level movie, the more it passed, the more I got excited.
Actually, it started out a little boring because of too many flashbacks, but by the end, I was so satisfied. I want to count some positive points of this movie:
1. I believe it is actually a multicultural movie because the actors and actresses had been chosen from two nationalities, Turkey and Iran. Also, because Rumi's character in Turkey and even throughout the world is as important and well-known as in Iran, it can be a movie for extended audiences.
2. This movie could reflect Rumi's age well. And it was successful in representing the changes that Rumi had experienced during his friendship with Shams.
3. One of the most interesting things was that, although the movie was about Rumi's life, it was difficult to recognize the leading actor or actress from the supporting one, even until the end, because the director could use other actors and actresses, as well as Parsa Pirouzfar (Rumi) and Shahab Hosseini (Shams).
4. The music, the special effects, the costume designing, the set design, the cinematography, the making-up and so on were the other positive points of this movie. But if I were the screenwriter I would write a little differently.
5. This movie, in my opinion, was able to show Rumi's message and I think it could be attractive to many people in Iran and even in the world. Because Rumi's message is not limited to his age and geography. And also, I believe that it could attract the latest generations to Iran's medieval history.
6. After all, I believe this movie can be counted as a turning point in the history of historical movies that have been made in Iran.

I have extensively researched and studied the narratives surrounding Molana and Shams, and I can attest that their story, and the love that emanates from it, is profoundly moving and inspiring. While the movie does not solely focus on their tale, it adeptly captures its essence.
"Intoxicated" prompts introspection about one's reality, touching upon various themes including love, politics, and warfare. It encourages viewers to question their identity, prompting a reevaluation of life to savor each moment. Furthermore, the film deepens one's appreciation for love's transformative power - a force capable of both igniting and extinguishing conflicts, and transcending divisions such as racism.
In summary, "Intoxicated" is a cinematic experience that has the potential to profoundly alter one's perspective on life. I highly recommend watching this film.
