We need laughs...this will do it!

Howie Mandel has had his ups and downs but he has always found a way to keep going in his quest to make us laugh. Love his spontaneity and silliness, so great to just have a good laugh, especially these days! He doesn't rely on swearing or shock 😮 to get your attention, just situations that you will find funny...at his expense! It seems there's nothing he won't do for a laugh, sometimes clever, sometimes stupid and most of the time enjoying every minute of it all himself!

It's been a long road for him to achieve the recognition he deserves but definitely worth the wait for a very funny guy! Go Howie!!

Howie Mandel: But, Enough About Me (2020) was written and directed by Barry Avrich. It stars--reasonably enough--comedian Howie Mandel.

Mandel is a torrent of energy. He makes wild jokes, does wild stunts, and he is his own best fan. (He laughs at his jokes, and then we laugh too.) Whether or not you'll like the movie depends on whether or not you like Mandel's humor. Well, not exactly. I don't like Mandel's humor, but I liked the film as a documentary of a unique human being.

We saw this movie virtually as part of the excellent Rochester Jewish Film Festival. The film has a very high IMDb rating of 7.8. I didn't think it was quite that good, and rated it 7.
