Lots of facts have been used to establish a single fact. Faridpur, Muktijuddha etc were used with very quick and incomplete instances. Loose script was saved by the great duo Soumita and Sathilekha. Kharaj was not used as he should be , some copied script from Belasheshe was used unnecessarily . I really was disappointed.
Loved it to the core . Please bring us more movies like this. Some verses are remain untold. Felt it from within. To the director and full team god bless you.
Belashuru means "A new way of living" or "accepting a new way of living". This film quite well justifies this title . But it has its own issues
This sequel has no connection with whatever happened in Belasheshe. There is not even any reference to that film. Only the characters are carried forward. A Nandita-Shibo film means litres of tears flowing through character's eyes even in situations that dont require and this film is also no different.
The best part of this film is the constant effort put by Biswanath to bring back the memory of his wife Arati suffering from Alzheimer's and the sweet love and care for his wife despite his wife having forgotten him. The two share a terrific yet heart warming chemistry. Actually, this film is dominated by Swati mam and somewhere Soumitra sir feels a little sidelined as the story this time is not revolving around him unlike the previous film. But definitely this part is the highlight. Second great thing was Kharaj . Terrific comic timing bringing in the much needed comic relief in this emotional journey, some notable ones being Arati constantly calling him a milkman or newspaper man due to her illness was really fun to watch. The last good thing are the songs. All are terrific.
Now comes the weak points. A 2hr 20 mins film stretched with those usual expected subplots of the children and grandchildren and this time it does not work at all. An unnecessary gay angle popping up from nowhere (I wouldnt say where as it would be spoilers but wherever is comes, it just feels too forced ), the Sharmishta - Barin story that suddenly disappears at the end with no conclusion and the Palash-Piu story that is so awkward all contribute to nothing but only increase the length of the film. The subplots have no impact at all. Nandita-Shibo should have not opted for this old strategy rather should have focused on the main plot which was very interesting.
The final climax does justify the title brilliantly but then you know, it felt so abruptly ending that audience in the theatre were like "Oh thats the end?" The makers should have ended it in a better way rather than in an abrupt way although i understand it very well justifies the title of the film Belashuru.
Swatilekha mam is the show stealer and this film completely belongs to her. Her behavior as mentally unstable lady is really heart warming and at times heart wrenching to witness. Next is no doubt, Soumitra sir. His chemistry with Swatilekha is terrific. He doesnt dominate the film but has really good moments throughout. Next is Kharaj. His comedy made my day. Others also have done a great job and help in rescuing a film that could have gone down due to poor subplots.
Overall, this is not as good as Belasheshe but definitely a great one time watch. Wont leave a lasting impact on you but you will definitely feel atleast you watched a decent film.

A film which will remain in our hearts forever. Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. We get to see how soumitra sir portrayed his character with vivid emotions as his wife fails to recognize him.
This is simply awesome.. great acting by the actors as well.. well directed. I'm just loving it.. good script.. I could relate myself in many parts of the story.. overall it's fantastic...
