Family Feud Canada

Great show! Gerry does a great job as host. Can't wait till season 2.

Such cringyness, so awesome! The best host EVER! Thank god they didn't use some cookie cutter usual pretty boy / girl. This works in so many level and thank god it's cheap looking totally pokes fun at the US version...lol.

I don't know why CBC thinks Canadians like Gerry Dee. His show Mr. D was OK but stale after a year or two. His hidden camera special was maybe the worst TV special AND worst hidden camera show I have ever seen. A friend took me to see his stand up show when I was out west and he just read notes on stage and was not funny. He was a correspondent on Canada's third most popular cable sports network and just came off as a butthole all the time, and still seems that way in this show (and every other).

Anyway we like regular Family Feud OK so we tried this show and it's terrible, Gerry Dee is an awkward, unfunny, not particularly likable host. It's a very awkward show and it just seems incredibly cheap. Do we really need a Family Feud CANADA? Can't CBC come up with something original? Maybe do a talent search for someone else to host who is not so awkward?

Definitely feel like Gerry Dee was a great choice for this. Just the right amount of humour and cringe. Nice to be able to see people you might know. Have actually known two of the families so far. Canada is surprisingly small.

I can only assume that is where this show comes from. Just think of the number of bad decisions that were made just for this terrible, terrible game show to exist.

Why would they buy the rights to remake an American game show, that we can already watch on Canadian TV anyway, instead of just making up their own original show?

If they were going to do that, why remake Family Feud, which is at best an average American game show? If you're going to just add the word "Canada" to a U.S. game show, why not pick a really good and big one, like Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune?

Why hire the guy from Mr. D as a host? Wouldn't it be more entertaining to have a child or a dog or something, or just no host at all and let the people just ramble on endlessly?

Where do they get these contestants?

Why are the questions so stupid, why is the small talk between the host and contestants always so forced and awful, why do the prizes suck... so many questions about this terrible, terrible show.

Family Feud Canada is terrible. Terrible. TERRIBLE.
