To get straight to the point instead of spoiling the film.

This gets more done in its short runtime than most films do at full length.

It is so nice these days to be able to put something on that's bite-sized that doesn't waste your time and entertains, which the moors manages to do and it does it so well

Amazing practical effects coupled with some excellent cinematography and sound, the moors is the perfect example of a good old fashioned, straight to the point horror film.

Everyone who is involved should take a bow as you made this very hard to please horror fan smile.

In a county famed for its glorious moorland, where better to stage a werewolf movie. The Moors hits the mark in every way, slick soundtrack that builds the tension, a local cast with accents to match, superb practical effects and a storyline at the heart of every community. It has humour, tension and gore in abundance which made me jump on several occasions. It's hard to believe so much is squeezed into a short movie but the fast pace helps carry the story to a thrilling conclusion , making you wish the film was longer, though the end credit scene is a welcomed finale. The cast and crew deserve heaps of praise in delivering this on such a small budget, I'm sure it'll be a huge success.

"It's raining, maybe they'll be safe in the rain..." The regulars at the Slaughtered Lamb at least had the tiniest bit of optimism that Jack and David may just, just, escape the inevitable on their trek across the moors. They were wrong of course, and what followed was the best werewolf movie ever made. By far. The Moors weighs in at second best by quite some distance, and nobody in this beauty is safe in the rain.

What this amazing gem of a movie does is recreate that skin crawling tension of being alone in the dark on the moors, minding your own business (if your business is not being able to pick up the egg your dog just dropped, or maybe a bit of casual fly tipping) and then hearing that unearthly growl, the presence of a beast that really shouldn't exist at all. But there it is, in the dark somewhere ahead of you, or beside you, or behind you. Not since Jack and David were arguing whether Heathcliff was on the moors have I felt that urge to be able to see what's out there while knowing the fate of the unfortunate people stuck out there with that thing. And there's no greater testament to this movie than putting it in the same bracket as An American Werewolf in London, it really is that good.

The horror isn't confined to the moors either as our lycanthrope brings its horror to more unsuspecting victims who should be celebrating yet end up literally in pieces. And one final twist at the end rounds the killing off with a fantastic finale. I'll be watching this one again and again, rented on Amazon but I have the blu-ray for future sittings. It is a shame as the movie wasn't longer, the production is first rate and huge credit to the cast who did an absolutely stellar job. If American Werewolf is your thing you simply have to give this whirl, you won't be disappointed!

The acting was well done and I liked the cinematography but from a writing point of view I think the film could've benefited from a main character, although it's hard to achieve more complexity in a short runtime. The effects for the creature and bodyparts weren't brilliant but the blood effects were pretty good. The shot composition and tension kept me engaged throughout. My only other complaint would be that the creature was shown too often (especially when it's low budget effects, your imagination can go a long way). The end credits scene was fun. I'd like to see what the director could do with a more complex story and a higher budget. All in all you can tell everyone had fun making it, it's certainly entertaining and well worth a watch.

If this was a feature film then it would be an amazing sequel to American Werewolf in London. It invokes the fear and mood of that film... and this time it's shot genuinely on the Yorkshire Moors. Thankfully we don't see too much of that there werewolf - which means thankfully - we are not assaulted by CGI that will date the film (go look at the Twilight werewolves and you will see how bad it is) The filmmakers decided to use real creatures and real blood in real locations shot genuinely at night - and this is the winning combination. I really hope a UK funding body can see this and give them some money to make a full length werewolf film.
