TNA: Lockdown

This a show that was plagued by a really weird taping schedule, injuries and wacky decisions. A PPV event filled with time wasting promos, short and unadvertised bonus matches.

One of the big four TNA PPVs of the year and only two title matches. In relation to the weekly tv show, this is the extremely convoluted debut of the new x-division champion at the time, Sanada, in a completely unannounced six-man tag match. This night also saw the debut of Tigre Uno in yet another random, unannounced match. While good, the commentary team even pointed out what was the point of that match being in a cage.

A big blow to the show was the cancelled EC3 vs Kurt Angle match due to Kurt's injury.

The Knockouts Title match was too short to be any good. The Escape the Cage match, World Title match, and the Lethal Lockdown were all riddled with stupid and overbooked finishes that killed the energy. The only real good match was Gunner vs James Storm in the Last Man Standing cage match.

In a time where TNA PPVs were scaled back to promote "quality", this came off more as a 3-hour episode of Impact with more misses than hits.
