Adam en Eva

Adam en Eva sometimes feels like a promocampaign for the Flemish Ardens, the Tuscany of Flanders if you have to believe the movie. Credit where credit's due, some of the images are indeed lovely and make you want to search out a bed and breakfast for a weekend of biking and hiking. Mission accomplished in that department.

The hiring of the dronepilot must have costed the lionshare of the production budget, because the rest of the film is not exactly low-budget, but no budget. Anyhow, I was invested in the story of Adam, the down on his luck intellectual who after a medical mishap meets cute with both Eva and Balthazar Boma. In the same hospital room! What follows is a movie about regret, making up for past mistakes and new chances. Bob De Moor is really good as Adam, some of the other acting is not that stellar. You feel it's a movie made with a lot of love and enthusiasm and that makes up for a lot of its flaws. Nice little movie.
