Pros: this game created suicide character and would later be featured on TNA tv, this game has ultimate x match and features christy hemme only in cutscnes in story mode but that's where the praise stops.
Cons: movesets are missing - every character plays the same except for the finisher, real life ppv arenas are missing, the Knockouts are missing, TNA's iconic match types are missing even basic match types and other modes are missing. Heck there's no toggle match rules to turn on or off DQ, there's also no ai referee in this game. The kick out system is complete trash this whole game feels like a paid beta it's so unfinished and the story mode is generic at best that they choose to milk for later entries ports so even that got stale real quick. Oh and u can't fight on the ramp and on the stage entrance and also backstage.
Like where's match types like: Barbed Wire Massacre, King of the Mountain, Monster's Ball, Six Sides of Steel, Steel Asylum, Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match, Cuffed in the Cage, Doomsday Chamber of Blood, Electrified Steel Cage, Lethal Lockdown, Queen of the Cage, Xscape Match, Full Metal Mayhem, Match of 10,000 Tacks, Prison Yard Match, Reverse Battle Royal, Battle Royale, Best of 3 Falls, Blindfold Match (Prince of Darkness Match), Bullrope Match, Empty Arena Match, First Blood, Ladder Match, Iron Man, Last Rites Match, No DQ, Pole Matches, Revenge Match, Special Referee, smh Street Fight, Stretcher Match, Tables Match, Weapons Match, Deadly Draw, Hangman's Horror, Hard 10, House of Fun, MMA Match & Sadistic Madness.
The only available matches that's in this game are the very basic like singles, handicap, Ultimate X, falls count anywhere, falls count anywhere tag, tag team, free for all, and submission. The only time u get to see the knockouts is on tna extras menu in the highlight reels during the time this game was still in development it plays a taped show of a tna gauntlet match.
All of the KO's that was missing from this game: (2003/2008) Traci brooks, Raisha Saeed, Sharmell, Shelly Martinez as LAX's Salinas, Gail Kim, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne, Taylor Wilde, SoCal Val, "The Voodoo Queen" Roxxi Laveaux, ODB, Karen Angle, Ms. Texas (Jacqueline Moore), Awesome Kong, Angelina Love, the governor (Daffney), Amber O'Neal, Jackie Gayda, Trinity, Alexis Laree, Karen Jarrett, Rhaka Khan, Raisha Saeed / Alissa Flash, Lacey Von Erich.
Even TNA legends from this time period (2006-2008) was missing from the game's roster like: al snow, Jerry Lynn, Brother Runt, Magnus, Chris Harris, Austin Aries, Curry Man, Cute Kip, Doug Williams, Lance Rock, Jimmy Rave, Scott D'Amore, James Mitchell, Matt Morgan, Black Reign, Kaz, Raven, El Mesías, Rick Steiner, Glenn Gilbertti, Ron killings, shane douglas, A-1, Konnan, Norman Smiley, Pierre Carl Ouellet, B. G. James, Chase Stevens & Havok.
The game engine and real photo scan showed this game's potential but it feels rush and not alot was put into it only 28 wrestlers in the game the only available matches that's in this game are the very basic like singles, handicap, Ultimate X, falls count anywhere, falls count anywhere tag, tag team, free for all, and submission. Trash game hopefully when someone else get the game license for a new TNA they'll do the game justice for once. So disappointing i still play the game away bcuz it's the only console TNA game that TNA have.

For a game that was to have been in development for so long...TNA Impact sure falls short of expectations by many players. Let's look at some of the flaws: 1. The story mode is mediocre at best. On other wrestling games you can customize your CAW's attributes throughout the game...Not in TNA Impact. Your wrestler is basically some generic character who's weaker than pretty much everyone throughout the entire game. Your option is basically do you want a jobber who wears pants or shorts? 2. The moveset is very, very limited. Right off the bat you're limited as to what you can have with a very crappy default moveset. You can earn new moves as you progress...but it takes a month of Sundays to get the better moves.
3. The roster. TNA has more than this. A lot of the roster consists of pre-made jobbers for you to beat before facing a few TNA guys. Where's the rest of the roster? Who wants to fight guys with names like Poppa Slapjacks when you could be facing the entire roster? Also...where's the Knockouts? They are becoming a pretty accepted part of the shows each week so why aren't they in this game? No excuse for this one Midway.
4. The lopsided A.I. All the TNA guys are like Superman hopped up on roids and pretty much kill you dead. I don't even want to get started on the tag team matches...
Overall...TNA Impact falls flat in just about every area that matters really. Some things are fun (Ultimate X) but that doesn't justify a $60.00 purchase. Maybe next year they'll get it right, but until then wrestling fans would be better off sticking with WWE's games.

- WissenswertesWhen production for the game started in early 2006, the first teaser poster for the game featured rendered models of Jeff Hardy and Monty Brown. Both wrestlers left TNA Wrestling later that year for World Wrestling Entertainment and were not featured in the finished product two years later.
