Mr. Earth

I loved this movie, it has so much heart and soul, and the acting is quite good. I give it a 9 to help offset the mediocre scores it has received as it deserves a much better than a 5.5 rating. No flashy effects but this is made up for by the storyline and engaging characters. Without giving anything away, prepare to be swept up in a otherworldly relationship, a father and daughter growing closer out of a painful past. It is all woven together perfectly and left me feeling more hopeful about finding that ethereal love that is always 'out there' for those who seeking it. Give it a watch, you will not be disappointed.

I really really wanted to like this film. I managed to stick with it and watch the whole thing but it wasn't half hard work. The story is a nice idea and it's done in a completely different way to any other film I've seen.

But the acting from the main character Ben, good lord it was torturous at times. He should be very likeable but he just doesn't seem to have any authenticity. He wanders round the whole film as if he's in a dream and even in the important moments doesn't seem to convey any great emotion.

I've no idea what the last half an hour is for, it was so unnecessary and could've been dispensed with with a much better explanation at the 90 minute mark.

Got to say I did like Ella though, thought she was portrayed very well.

It is not necessary to have everything spelled out for you with this movie. The ideas are presented in the least definitive way because the point is for the viewer to think about the feelings being examined and not the details of when, where, and what. The dialogue was not important between most of the characters, The viewer was prompted to simply feel the feelings involved with each character's situation in this plot. The passage of time was left very vague on purpose. The feelings were the main consideration here. The real meaning of the movie doesn't get presented until the end, so anyone who doesn't get there, doesn't know what this is about. As more AI becomes present in our future we will be called on to decide how important human feelings really are. Without human feeling what is the meaning of anything? Beautiful scenes, engaging music, and fantasy adventure.....enjoy the feelings.

A very heart felt and thought provoking movie that i'm sure many can relate to. Really enjoyed this movie, great acting and a beautiful score.

This was recommended as i mostly watch science fiction movies. Strictly speaking it certainly is sci-fi, but not your typical blockbuster special effects movie. This movie concentrates more on the story of a man dealing with loss and heartache. Many men certainly will be able to relate to this story and certainly brought tears to my eyes a number of times.

Dont always trust ratings, despite this having a rather modest score, it is certainly worth a lot more and deserves more recognition that it is getting.

Without spoilers, this is a simply down to Earth movie about a real life, real problems, and real people in a bit unreal circumstances. You could call this an Ode to Earth and life on it. It is easy to watch, heartwarming, thought provoking, and does not contain the usual Holywood nonsense. I hope you will, like myself, fall in love with the story, characters, the plain show of life, and beautiful music. I can imagine this movie will become as strong underdog as it gets. I wish more movies like this gets made as this is a very rare breed. I really hope the people which do not get this movie will one day be able to see its magic.
