Each episode is all about Wil Weaton vacillating between fanboy and bragging about his days on Star Trek. He often interrupts or dominates the conversations talking about himself more than interviewing. It's exhausting. During interviews he often interrupts to interject how his experiences were when on Star Trek The Next Generation. It seems like he is trying to compete with current characters to be seen as equal or cooler than they are. He projects himself as a Star Trek Legend when he was just a supporting character. I feel for him and his childhood, but it is exhausting hearing him monologue about his accomplishments.

Wil Wheaton is perfect as The Ready Room host because his enthusiasm and his knowledge are real. Whether you loved or hated the Wesley Crusher character, Wil was a significant part of Next Gen, and through all of his personal ups and downs, he remained connected to his cast mates and to the franchise. While he didn't land a significant role in this latest Star Trek iteration, he managed to land as much total screen time as several of his former colleagues while making an important contribution to the community.
All that said, I'm hoping for the very long-awaited continuation of Star Trek: Assignment Earth, featuring Supervisor Wesley Crusher and Kore Soong. Make it so.

Though Naomi Kyle was great, you couldn't find a better fit than Wil Wheaton. He's so perfect for the role. It often doesn't feel like a talk show, more like old friends getting together to have fun. Wil's various interviews of Patrick Stweart & Jonathan Frakes are so heartful and it feels like a grown son speaking to his elderly fathers.
This show is a Trekkies dream! Wil Wheaton does an incredible job with hosting. A great interviewer, he asks the questions I would want answered!
Don't miss this Star Trek fans!
Wil Wheaton not only knows Trek from the inside, as an actor, but is probably the World's Biggest Nerd Fan. He's fun, hilarious and enthusiastic. This whole show is a cross between getting a backstage pass and hanging out with your favorite fannish buddies. Great interviews and insights. Picard was Serious Trek, so it was great to see a lighthearted approach to the behind the scenes goodies, what it was like to make the show, and the kinds of crazy creativity that happens on set.

- WissenswertesThe first officially licensed Star Trek aftershow was called "After Trek" and hosted by Matt Mira which covered the first Season of Star Trek: Discovery. It failed, the budget was slashed, and the very first season of "The Ready Room" was the result. The first season had no behind the scenes and a very small set. Season 2 of "The Ready Room" got rebranded with Wil Wheaton and got almost the full budget back, complete with all kinds of behind the scenes video packages.
