This show is Soo scripted!! Hair is bad makeup is bad. Wardrobe horrible. Creating these fake relationships and fights between each other. Latrice is annoying. Not feeling this show at all!
Good Lawd!! I can't wait till this horrible series is cancelled and forgotten. Theses heifers are a mess! They're a bunch of nobodies who somehow managed to stumble onto a reality show for no apparent reason because who are they?? You can't be the queen of a damn thing when no one even knows who you are!!! Lol!! Get a life ladies, and some better wigs while you at it. Terrible acting, terrible script, get this crap off my TV. Oprah should be ashamed!
This show could have been a great opportunity to put a spotlight on the culture of Mississippi and the talent and brilliance of its black entrepreneurs. Instead, the producers decided that they would present these women in the most terrible and unprofessional light, further reinforcing negative racial, cultural, and gendered stereotypes. This show has very little positive content and I feel disappointed in the OWN network. They have missed the opportunity to (1) showcase the true achievements of Black women in Mississippi and (2) influence the younger generations and show them what's possible. So many young people of all backgrounds need to see possible examples of southern Black women's success as our media does not portray this reality nearly enough. Many brilliant minds are produced in the universities of Mississippi including Jackson State University, Tougaloo College, Mississippi State, Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley State University, Rust College, Mississippi College, University of Southern Mississippi, and many, many more!
While I'm very ecstatic to see more very intelligent, very talented black women on the scene, I am however, very disappointed to see the them displaying themselves in such trifling manner (REALLY!) Come on ladies, get it together / protect your brand! I can't even stand to watch this show, as I don't want that "whatever," in my spirit.... Yall know better!!
My main issue with this show was Kaylon. Do you see how easy it was for her to infiltrate the show and come after a woman of color? That was the most infuriating thing about this show. Now Marie I love her. However she needs to learn how not to react to everything. There are ways to go about it without coming off like the stereotypical angry black woman. Latrice you do a lot of mean girl stuff and expect no repercussions. Now I love how your husband is with you. You can tell he genuinely loves you. But honey that talking about folks and snickering with your friends about it is very childish. Now Dr. Liles I will call her that. She earned that title. But that victim role you was playing is not it honey. Then to state you never experienced racism. I almost threw my remote at the tv. White ppl look for ppl like you to say see there is no racism. Hell Kaylon played you like a fiddle and you still don't realize it. As for Leteisha I so love her through and through. She knew how to keep it G and classy at the same time. What she did not do was allow the other ladies to down talk Marie. She respected the loyalty Marie has shown her and reciprocated it. Marie also was so open about the ups and down about her relationship with her husband. I love them both. They are still making it happen together. And finally the one that had to grow on me the bubbly Tambra. She too kept it 100 about her choices in life. So all in all I think the show is great. It even makes Mississippi looks livable. Even though I would never live there. Because truly where they live is a real small part of the big state of Mississippi. Mississippi still call ppl boy and gal .
