I just had to drop my rating down a star because of Ep 15. Why any director thinks it's fun, edgy or wanted that you film people while the camera goes around in a circle with people talking for 5 minutes causing motion sickness is beyond me. I am too nauseous to read the subtitles and will have to turn it off.
Otherwise it was slow, funny, sad, horrific and quite a cute show in a way. Their past lives all melded into one curious story which was interesting but kind of an after thought sideline. One of the friends was so freaking annoying I don't know how he remained a friend at all (the tv producer).
But excuse me while I go chuck.

I'm usually pretty critical about shows but idk what everyone who neg reviewed this show is on about. The murder plot wasn't abandoned and there was nothing awkward about the funny scenes or love scenes. I found them pretty sincere. The only bad part of the show would be Eun-ha the main female character's bff. She was dumb and annoying but other then that the side characters were interesting and necessary to not make the plot line monotonous. Don't listen to the bad reviews they didn't seem to be watching the same show.
The lives of three people who met briefly in childhood intersect again in later life. The main story is between a psychiatrist who has an office in the building a hotel concierges lives at, and their relationship. Each character has a troubled past and each carries that weight in different ways. I enjoyed it and I thought the entire cast did a superb job with an interesting storyline and unlike many of the other reviewers I really enjoyed the comedic element particularly the ex-wife of the psychiatrist. If you are looking for a gritty murder mystery this is not for you, but if you are looking for a drama about healing then give it a watch.
You Are My Spring started off with a bang - it was eerie, dark, interesting, and with just a splash of romance. However with each episode the romance took over that eerie creepy plot line, and they switched from suspenseful to cheesy. Don't get me wrong, I was happy with the main couple, I thought they were super cute and I loved Young Do, he was such a sweet and comforting character. As a couple they were a tad cringe though, it sometimes was a bit too much.
The show pretty much did a complete 180 about halfway through and left me feeling somewhat empty. I was expecting a thriller with a romance and the thriller part really fell through. I liked the plot twists, but they weren't executed with enough punch. This was I think a case of two genres mushed together that should have been separate shows/story lines. I really started to lose interest as the last few episodes aired, and only finished the show to finish it, not because I was engaged anymore. There were still some big questions left unanswered, which perhaps led to that empty feeling once I finished watching. There was also a lot of filler in the second half, focusing mostly on all the friends of the main couple and who they end up with and are dating. I liked the side characters but not enough to care about their love lives.
Overall this was rather disappointing. I really loved the first half of the show, I was fully engaged and really invested in the story. Somewhere along the way the show lost me. I would skip this one.

I agree with another reviewer about the murder mystery disappearing into a rom com. The first two episodes were amazing and this show would have been so amazing if they had stayed on that trajectory. Instead of keeping with the thriller vibe they turned it into a slow rom com. I can't stand it when dramas do this, a lot of dramas start with an amazing first 1 or 2 episodes like they're just trying to hook you, and then everything changes to something totally different. It's to the point that I can sometimes predict if the show is going to start slow down, and I usually prefer dramas that start slow and build up over time instead. This drama was one of the worst I've seen as far as that's concerned, the first 2 episodes are nothing like the rest of the show. Itaewon Class is another one off the top of my head that did this.
I wish 2ML had come back to cause trouble, unknown to everyone if he was the twin or not, while also seducing FL in the meantime and maybe ML tries to keep her from him. Kinda like how it was going down in the first few episodes, but instead they ended it abruptly and then the rom com started and we got to see the two going to the beach, sitting and talking, etc...nothing like the thriller we were given a taste of.
It does have good things about it. The cinematography for one is simply amazing here and worth the praise. It's too bad they totally lost me with the plot.
