Terrible Things

Set in a toxic and lifeless post-apocalyptic world overrun by gigantic, growling creatures, a lone survivor finds temporary shelter in an abandoned cottage. The cinematography is solid, the acting is strong, and the visual effects are quite decent for a short film.

The protagonist's monologue-delivered in the dark beside the body of the cottage's former owner-is emotional and haunting. It captures the horror, sorrow, and psychological toll endured by survivors in such an uninhabitable and merciless world. Clever techniques, like the miniature scale of the weaponry used against the towering monsters, help underline just how desperate and futile the fight for what's left of the world has become.

Honestly, this concept could easily be expanded into a full-length feature, and I would gladly watch it.
