How did this even get made??? I've never acted before or been to acting school or have any natural acting ability that I know of but somehow I feel that even I could have done a better job than some of the wooden spoons in this movie. Shame because it looked like it could have been a lot better - the scenery wasn't too bad and the general idea was good but like a previous poster mentioned..it's way to hard to overlook the acting (yes... looking at you, leading actress...)
The acting in this movie is so bad it made me want to cry.
The monster looks like someone in a cheap rental halloween ape costume, the bus crash was so badly filmed I could have done better on an iPhone 5. I cringed.
I turned it off after the monster tore off the dudes arm at about 10 mins in and then slapped him with the soggy end. I just can't.

Firstly, the good - this was streaming for free on Youtube. The bad - that was probably still too much to pay.
As I see it, low budget movies like this need to lean into the mayhem to get away with it. This outing aggressively refuses to do so - instead meandering with expository heavy dialogue, long scenes of wandering around yapping, wooden acting and scant signs of the Jersey Devil we dialed in to see.
The third act at least lifts this effort from a 1 or 2 star rating to the lofty heights of 3 stars, as it is only then that things become a little unhinged and fresh. But that doesn't serve to elevate the movie to anything more than 3 stars.

LAMEST MOVER EVER!!! EVERYONE'S ACTING SUCKED!!! ENDING MADE NO SENSE!!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO SARAH!? DID THE SHERIFF TURN INTO THE JERSEY DEVIL!?? WAS THE JERSEY DEVIL KELSEY'S LOVER!?? THIS MOVIE WAS TERRIBLE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!
This movie was bearable through the first two acts, but then I guess the Jersey Devil killed the writers and it was up to amateurs to write up the finale where it just takes lame turns for the worst.
The plot is about the survivors of a vehicle crash in the Pine Barrons that happened a year prior to the events of the film. The leading atrocity of an actors character beleives her cousin is still alive, because she thinks she saw her taken by the Jersey Devil. Makes sense, right? They return to the area and hire a guide to take them to the area who lures them into danger and the movie just falls apart from there.
First of all, the movie doesn't have the worst actors I've ever seen, well for the most part on all but two of the actors, but one of the actors, who is the lead of this film, IS possibly the worst actor I've ever witnessed on film. How was she cast in this as the lead? She's hard to look at and even harder to watch at just how God awful her performance is that completely ruins what could have been a half decent flick if they used someone who maybe has attended acting lessons at least once or twice before being cast in this.
Trying to ignore the worst preformance by a lead actress ive ever seen, this movie does actually feel like a movie. It had a decent premise, and didnt look too cheap, but it needed a much stronger re-write or better editors to have it flow better than the many times it provided it's confusing cluster bleeps in the plot that made it seem like the decisions on where the story should go got filmed, instead of being decided on paper first.
Had a bit more thought process and time got put into making it all make sense in its direction, it might've been a pretty good flick.
However, with its miss direction and confused plotlines leading into a stupid finale, along with a leading lady whom I'm personally naming as the worst actress of this mellenium, I can only give you fair warning to not bother checking this film out. Not unless you're a film student and wanna see how a movie shouldn't be put together, or curious to see just how bad a lead role can be played, then I advise you to just avoid watching this all together. Especially one that claims it stars Joe Estivez, whom briefly appears in a 5 second role that is highly unnoticeable, and mustve agreed to do some drunk screaming for 2 mins if someone bought him lunch or something?
