Nothing about this anime is worth your time. Its a 2 minute story stretched and stretched till it got boring and repetitive. I doubt the guys who made this even watched it after it got released.
Although the first season's opening was quite intriguing, the second season's plot, an ordinary isekai OP MC story with no creativity or effort, is more akin to the first season's conclusion. I'll just give you the highlights so you can go on to something better.
Normal OP MC isekai fare: our hero accepts "impossible" tasks and receives unceasing plaudits for his near-divine abilities. This time, "The Hobbit" served as the inspiration, and the majority of the season centers on the quest to kill a dragon by traveling to a ruined dwarven nation.
You're familiar with the scenario. While the new ones are introduced to further honor our hero, the old ones don't actually reveal much. With the exception of the newcomer who transformed from a wimp to a battle-hardened veteran in the course of around two episodes, only the party gets adequate screen time, and I find it difficult to conclude that they have made significant progress. To be honest, it looks cheap. The majority of the images are "servisable," yet other sceneries are simply unattractive and some objects appear dreadfully stiff when they move. Is it here at all, then? It feels more like "I consumed it" and moved on than like I actually loved the episode because it is so cliched, trite, and forgettable.

This anime is like a retold
Version of the Bible. The main character is made to be like some sort of Jesus and along the way he meets his disciples and builds his following. The series has its moments but it is at times rather dialogue heavy and becomes exceptionally boring. There are also moments where it holds your attention but the ramblings between the characters sometimes are like peering in on boring conversations.
There are some interesting concepts to this but I swear someone just remixed stories from the bible to make the plot to this anime. It's not entirely bad and it's not really worth anything under a 5 star rating on here but the show truly fails to make itself interesting at times when action would be more suitable. It suffers the same problem as "Attack On Titan" did when it became so dialogue heavy and veered from its original concept that it started to loose people's interests. Sometimes that seems to be a common problems with anime's that don't exactly know what they should be.
The second season of the anime is extremely boring. The main character is overly virtuous and it gives him a personality flaw. His boyfriend the elf also adds little to nothing to the story. I've never watched such a long winded anime. It's this entire series could have been done in a 1hr 30 minute movie. There truly is nothing packed into each episode but talking and occasionally fighting a monster that never seems to be a real challenge.

Completely uninteresting in a sea overrun by Isekai. Nothing about this show is interesting. In fact, it's slow, boring and the action is incredibly lackluster and weakly animated.
Studios need to stop releasing these crappy Isekai anime. The MC is lame, annoying and cries WAY too often. Jesus, where are the Isekai that have even half the qualities of Slime, Moonlit Fantasy, Knights and Magic, etc etc.

I made an account just to write this review after reading some of these other reviews, The Faraway Paladin isn't your typical isekai as some would say, especially since most isekais are brainless harems anime's wrapped in a fantasy world, NOT Faraway Paladin, just from the start of first episode you can tell that it's a series made out of sheer love for the fantasy genre and classic D&D, it takes its time to tell you a story and gives you plenty of action, if you love fantasy, you'll love The Faraway Paladin.
