Secrets of a Psychopath

The entire show deep dives into the victims private sexual interests and doesnt actually look into the 'secrets of a psychopath' who has committed this crime.

Its 3 episodes entirely focused on the victims sexual preferences and nothing to do with the psychology of the perpetrator of this crime.

It gives off the vibe that the victim is in some capacity complicit for her death as she engaged in alternative sex

Absolutely no compassion or respect is shown to Elaine the woman who was murdered throughout the entire documentary.

If I were in her shoes I would be mortified that not only have Ive been murdered but now people are airing my private sex life on national tv rather than focusing on who did the crime.

I completely missed this murder case when it happened. This story was told in a very interesting and suspenseful way, a great show which you should definitely watch. It also didn't feel dragged out like these shows sometimes tend to do.

I thought this was going to be multiple episodes looking into the lives of different psychopaths. I didn't realize until half way into Episode 2 that it is a documentary about one case. It is the most boring true crime show I have ever watched, out of hundreds. The first few minutes caught my attention, the initial finding of evidence. After that, it never picked up the pace, never went anywhere, never revealed any "secrets" of any psychopath. Apparently it was a landmark case, probably because of prurient sexual perversion. In truth, it showed the same fetishist paraphernalia over and over ad nauseum, the same shot of the crime and evidence scenes, and there were pauses in dialogue so long I thought my internet was acting up. Go to the dentist instead. Read Moby Dick backwards. These would be more interesting and entertaining.
