Covid Love

The short film Covid Love has been able to interpret, with great irony, the complex story of Covid, which has invaded our lives in an extremely penetrating way.

Excellent direction, beautiful colors and photography. In a few minutes, director René Nujiens was able to make us smile with a story that drew the paradox of the limited recovery of sociality from the tragedy of the pandemic.

The short film won the prize for best film in the "Comedy&Comic" category of the Picentia Short Film Festival, assigned by the Technical Jury, for the artistic skills of the entire cast, with particular mention to the actors' ability to have granted a laugh to the audience without break down, acting in a natural way and letting every single emotion experienced by them be well understood.

Ample mention must be made to photography and the choice of colors: careful and intriguing, it attracts the viewer and glues him for the entire duration of the film, which is not easy.

This came as something of a surprise as it's unbelievably well rounded for a short. Great characters, markedly funny but also with some dark humour and a lot of great details. Entertaining and also very timely. Loved it. Bravo to the makers for producing this great short.

Absolutely inspired remind about a not so pleasant, nice or reasonable period of recent years.

A date after lockdown. The prudence of waiter, the good chemistry between partners, shrimp as good point for presumed beautiful relation and, unfortunatelly, the main cause for the brutal end of date.

Irony works so well , than more than smile and return to absurd rules of pandemic , to paranoia of that weeks, the feeling about proportion of fear becomes a nice warning not about infection but about people around us.

Inspired acting, fair atmosphere and clever details ( the scene of promptitude of waiter from to the danger of kiss ).

This film involves a couple of people I know, but I should still be allowed to say that it's very entertaining with great performances, outstanding direction and a wonderful set. Many congratulations to everyone involved.

The audience loved this film at London-Worldwide Comedy Short Film Festival 2021! It was original, quirky with lovely performances and production values. We wish the best for the filmmakers.
