LUKi & the Lights

This animated short film is beautifully illustrated, animated and lit with a meaningful and moving story. The film expresses all that we strive to create in a meaningful life, friendship, joy, connection to nature, love-- and to be seen and understood. Luki & his friends will capture your heart in less than 10 minutes and leave you feeling profoundly grateful for your own joys and blessings.

I've watched the film at numerous film festivals and am so thrilled to see it in Manhattan screening at Tribeca Film Festival.

Congrats to the massively talented team who spent so much time putting together such a special, meaningful story for the writer to tell his story.

I was fortunate enough to attend the NYC premiere of Luki & The Lights.

Even if your loved ones in your life have not been affected by ALS or another debilitating disease, the profound themes of grief and loss will definitely pull at your heartstrings. It's expressed in such a universal, accessible way that resonates with everybody who watches -- children and adults alike. There's honestly so much that can be said about Luki & The Lights, but I'm honestly at a loss of words beyond what I've mentioned above in in my review.

Bravo to the talented team that created this short film. You should be very proud.

As someone that has been living with ALS for over 20 years, I can definitely say the hardest day of my life was telling my 2 sons about my diagnosis. I have also witnessed how important it is to be as open as you can about the disease to children. I showed this to my 5 year old great niece who keeps asking me questions like, "Why can't you chase me?" "Why do your hands look like that?" so this film came at the perfect time. I was in awe of how much she picked up from watching the film just one time. She saw how happy Luki was after he got in his wheelchair and said, "he feels a lot better." She now associates me "feeling better" when I use my walker. She also refers to LUKI as her friend. The film was very well done and has provided a perfect reference point when my great niece has more questions about my changing abilities from ALS. Congratulations Team LUKI! Thank You.

Great way to tell a story that shouldnt have to be told. A marvelous storyline which has some references to the creators but which has many similarities to anyone who is struck by this disease. The annimation is pitch perfect and made by true professionals.

If you are able to spread the word about this project to loved ones or in your network. Please do so. Let's hope this legacy wont be nessesary in the near future and it will become a part of the present past.
