I was surprised that the movie is so good and I loved it. The animations are as good as the music . The characters are well written and the development of them is really good. The movie has some funny and sad and combative scenes. But I would recommend watching the series first, how many jokes you only understand after watching the series. The jokes in the films are sometimes easy to see, or sometimes they're in the background. I loved the series and it was good too but the movie is much much better. I would recommend watching the film in a group who have watched the series or love anime but you can also watch it alone.
In 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie - Scarlet Bond', viewers are introduced to new characters as the plot unfolds, offering a storyline that may feel like a longer version of a typical episode from the show. The movie delivers a mix of drama, deception, humor, and Rimuru's signature solution to most problems: devouring everything in sight. Continuing from the events of the Second Season, the narrative of 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond' centers around Hiiro, the presumed-dead brother of Benimaru, and his companions, who find themselves entangled with a cursed princess, demons, and a flurry of action-packed sequences. With its gripping storyline and compelling characters, Some fans may find that The absence of a cohesive narrative structure and sufficient character development may not initially appear to be a critical flaw for an anime spinoff, particularly for a series like "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime," which has already established its unique and ever-evolving conceptual eccentricities over two seasons. However, in "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond," the various sub-plots fail to coalesce as effectively as they typically do in the show. If you're new to the series, you might find yourself underwhelmed by this movie, as it lacks the unexpected twists, comedic gags, and action sequences necessary to sustain its convoluted plot. But over all i did Like it and would recommend it to People Once again, "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond" boasts stunning artwork and features a superb Japanese voice cast, advocating for subs over dubs. Despite its narrative shortcomings, the movie offers an engaging visual experience and top-notch voice performances that fans of the series will undoubtedly appreciate.
This is one of the best movies and keep in mind i'm a guy who rarely watches movies espically for anime, I've finished seires like Naruto, Sissors Seven, Demon Slayer, & Etc. I loved the anime but I don't watch the movies because it just doesn't really fit into the story as its supposed to in the anime, demon slayer kinda does that somewhat well i'm not sure how I would rate the story connection but that movie was also good. This movie i've just watched is spledid the storyline makes me think this is at the very end of season 2 and it continues an amazing story that makes me more hyped for season 3! It was fun to watch overall hope you watch it too! If you don't like it try anything else afterall not everything is someones all time fav.
I finished Scarlet Bond, and here are my thoughts! I was in awe when the new character (Hiiro) was introduced and was even amazed about the problem, the poisoned land, and the tiara's mystery tied to the royal family and how it all ties to the Goddess (AKA the Demon Primordial Violet herself). Interestingly, the animation was exquisite (aside from a few anatomical distortions), but the plot seemed rushed in contrast. How can I say that? Two things, even though the characters' emotions and actions look realistic and justifiable. The execution of how the resolution looked very forced. For that long movie, it is sad that some scenes were wasted on unnecessary talks (of course it is okay if it is put in the series). Secondly, the build-up towards the resolution. We've known Rimuru already and it is very unlikely that he prolongs the end of his battles with his enemies (but if they are powerful, that's okay. However, his battle with Lacua looks awkward to me as the viewer. Well, maybe because the movie forced to include the part where Lacua gulps the orb or that Rimuru is still recovering his drained magical from his fight with Clayman previously (which is extravagantly unlikely knowing he has evolved into a higher magical being now). It is also quite disappointing when he just finished all the other obligations and knew that he has to go to the dying Hiiro right away but that scene of them talking was just so long and I am like imagining Rimuru doing a moonwalk with Ranga because of how slow they are to get there. Maybe it is because of how great Rimuru is in my head that I think he can swallow them and absorb the problem then release them once it is done, Beelzebub. Of course, I know he can, but the movie just forces it to not do that for the reason of being foolishly cringed. Get the Tiara to wish Hiiro to resurrect and then when Tora crumbled, the Goddess gave her her life back. Like, Rimuru/Raphael has the secret art of "resurrection" now, right? As long as there is enough magicule. Speaking of cringe, I am getting tired now of the other villainous characters looking down at Rimuru or when Spirit Queen entered, and they (the ministers) belittled her. Get over it. But, a silver lining, she always listens because she showed up right away. Also, my attention dissipated when the main leads kept on dying and then getting alive again. Nonetheless, I am excited to watch the 3rd Season and maybe even read the manga even though how busy I am! Love lots to everyone who worked on this series!
It's a shame, the movie is very bad compared to the amazing tv series.
I was very excited for the movie because I'm a very big fan of the series and I'll give a 1000/10 for the tv series, but it turns out the movie wasn't that good.
The MC didn't get much screen time, I believe all of the people and I wanted to see Rimuru on action, wanted to see what will Rimuru do and what happen after season 2, since there's a lot of amazing things happen in Season 1 & 2, i thought the movie will be as great as the tv series. But this movie is more of a Special episode version than a Movie, this doesn't supposed to be a movie.
They give too much screen time to new character and it even took like 1 hour just to show another character story, and the action or the fight scene is too plain and there's not much action going on.
At the end when Rimuru fighting the villain, I thought there's gonna be a big fighting scene happening since Rimuru is the one that fighting, but it only took Rimuru 2 seconds to finish the fighting and using beelzebub skill, and that's it.
