Ravanasura

Except for some controversial dialogues and predictable twists (and terribly weak screenplay), there wasn't anything particularly bad about this film. It is watchable but NOT at all a family friendly movie!

Suspense gets revealed too soon (in early 1st half, and after that there's no suspense left in the film) Till then we get to see funny mass moments and some songs. For those who strictly want suspense movie, this might be a big letdown.

Highlights:

1. Ravi Teja's subtle acting in a negative shade and his screen presence

2. Songs - Pyaar Lona Paagal was fantastic! Others were forgettable

Drawbacks: Big let down is the screenplay and direction.

1. Weak, Terrible, and Tiresome Screenplay. The Suspense was revealed too soon.

2. RT's character arc - lazy attempt by filmmakers here. They want the audience to love the hero, so they give him funny scenes. Then they want to show his evil side, too much that you start hating him. Then they try to justify it with a pale half baked revenge backstory.

3. Second half could've been faster. The backstory of Ravi Teja could've been shown partly in the first half and partly in 2nd half. This would've been much better imo.

Final Verdict: Not at all a family friendly film due to the direction, nor a good film (bcuz of bad screenplay) but it is a one time watchable massala film thanks to Ravi Teja, Jayaram, and the film's sound department.

The movie is fast paced and starts with Ravi Teja doing his usual action plus comedy, it swiftly morphs into Ravi Teja style romance and then the suspense builds up and you see Ravi Teja as never before. The pace never slackens and you see twist after twist after twist.

The only drawback is such a fast pace leads to some holes in the plot but overall there is a substantial plot compared to a usual Tollywood or Bollywood movie. The negative comments and low rating just reinforce it being not a run of the mill movie and a bold departure from usual goody goody theme into a darker world. Ravi Teja is the star but others also complement him well. Complements to the makers for departing from the norm.

This movie embraced feelings a lot. They gave a feeling of being hyped and also this movie's storyline is a little messy for which you need to pay concentration on the movie Also Ravi Teja's acting is good .music was good Bheems did well. The villain's good role for which there is a fight. Director's way of showing the action scenes was a bit different.#ravi teja65 was good. Nice Telugu film overall for which at least people will go and watch.the feeling of watching Chiyaan's cobra will be at a scene. South movie blockbuster is ravanasura along with Dasara next starring for tiger nageswara rao movie.just watch.

I really liked the movie. The cast is very well utilized and portrayed. Story line is excellent. Parental guidance is definitely required. Ravi Teja's Ravanasura is a revenge tale where he gets to play an anti-hero to commit several murders without leaving any evidence. Why is he committing these murders and what are his motives exactly, forms the story. As there is not much suspense left wrt the killer, the focus is more on creating the shock value with the lead character's anti-hero antics and controversial dialogues.

The twists towards the end range from decent to good, no doubt in that. But the lackluster screenplay doesn't allow the movie to raise above mediocrity right from the beginning. Ravi Teja plays to the gallery with his over the top antics but somehow it doesn't fit into this particular movie. How much ever implausible is the usage of prosthetics while committing murder, better writing would have aided the reveal in the third act. Ravanasura in the end is just another routine forgettable movie.
