Verliebt in einen Prinz

Horrible movie! Danica jumped the shark. She plays the same person, time and time over. Now she's become a bumbling idiot. If she's tried to change her usual character it's not working. Very disappointed.

It was okay, should have explored the relationship more seemed hurried. Didn't like the ending. And the king just gave in after pushing the people who were with the prince to force him accept what should have been inevitable.

Why can't the makeup department ever get Danica's eyelashes on correctly? It's distracting and certainly not flattering. Hallmark never got them right either.

I enjoyed this movie. I like the ones that involve royalty because there are built-in major obstacles that must be overcome. They are FAIRY TALES. When you watch them, you have to keep that in mind and not expect an Oscar-winning screenplay based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. They're just fun.

Could some things have been done better? Yes. Do I care? No. And I'm puzzled at those who disparage Danica McKellar's acting. She displayed a range of emotions, and her sadness and tears came across as genuine. For those who say she is always the same, couldn't that be said, for the most part, of most of the women and men in these movies? They're romances with young adults experiencing much the same things, over and over. It's just part of it.

For me, this movie was an enjoyable escape from everyday life.

We tend to like Danica McKellar in her roles, and this was no exception. Funny thing. We watched it last night and I'd completely forgotten we watched it when first out, probably about a year ago. I kept thinking things looked familiar until we finally got to some scenes I absolutely recognized. I do a lot of computer work while we watch these movies and sometimes I only catch snatches of them, so last night I paid attention.

I'm an author, so movies about writers draw my attention, and I liked a lot about this premise. The idea of a woman taking what's supposed to be a milk run job and then getting thrust into all the extra tasks that developed was a nice reverse fish out of water scenario.

I got a kick out of her printing out the online edition of a paper and taping it together for the prince. LOL Good imagination there from the writers. :-)
