I watched the film few times and the quality of the production is impeccable. Nice camera angles and spot-on location choices. The lead character said much more even when not uttering a single word. The mother's character was also very believable. We need more and more projects like these produced and funded well. The subject matter is sensitive but has to be addressed and the hard work and dedication behind this film justifies it and showed on the screen. The sound was clear and the music felt like another character in the story. The humour towards the end of the film surprised me. I'll look forward to the next production.

Great movie and very well produced. The pain that Abdul (Rajan Verma) and his family had gone through certainly affected him deeply. What was even more captivating was the way the story line played out, definitely kept me guessing and wanting to know the path Abdul had chosen. I love the messages!!! You can help change people's views by participating in "CHANGE" groups. Is that our reality? We should not be judged by another's actions or standards. We should each be given a chance to tell "our story" and let the chips fall where they may. The setting was really well thought out, great camera angles and shots, set to really great music. The acting was great – special mention to the lead actor – Rajan Verma – great portrayal of emotions.

An extraordinary piece of art. What I love about this movie is the subtlety it conveys. The subtlety of Janus' emotions revealed only through the eyes until the moment he speaks. The subtlety of the events as they unfold, seemingly innocuous moments that the character internalizes and perceives as discrimination, only to be revealed as nothing of the sort. Instead they are a reflection of the multicultural and varied society that Janus lives in - politics, flirting, protection of a child, a coffee order - brilliant. A revealing piece showing that sometimes our skewed perceptions can have as great an impact on our own sense of belonging, as other perceptions around us. Beautifully done, wholly relevant and timely.
Incredibly powerful. A story I am familiar with although now how a more intimate understanding of how perceived judgement without really knowing for sure can effect our relationships with different cultures. Regardless of our race or religion we can so easily become defensive or even blinded by how we think others see us. Living in multicultural communities is fast becoming the way in which we live in modern societies. Janus depicts a Muslim family affected by pain from their past and how these experiences play out in their current daily lives. The pace of the film with its use of cleverly chosen music captivates the audience from beginning to end.
I saw it three times and every time I saw it, I saw and realized things, I hadn't even noticed before. Little important details. Great acting by all actors but especially by Raj Verma, who plays the main character Abdul. He is so subtle, yet delivers such a strong and mind blowing performance. The story is so contemporary and the film makes you feel good and hopeful. Cinematography is excellent. Especially enjoyed the "resolution" of it all and the fast pace of that resolution in contrast to the rather slow first part, where Abdul starts his day and walks to the meeting and encounters all the things and memories. Flashbacks were done very well. Loved it.
