A truly beautiful short story

A young single mother. An adorable, sweet little girl. A restaurant worker with a calm, caring demeanour. A background of rural Manitoba and Hutterite pacifism. An offer of something warm to drink. A lot of kind words. An invitation. An uncertain understanding as to why the invitation was extended. A realization of a quite large gulf between respective religions. A passionate kiss. A cry in the night. A poignant encounter between a seeming interloper and a young child. A question regarding breakfast.

A warm feeling left in the viewer afterwards.

The mark of a well written, well photographed, well acted and altogether well told story.
