Watashi wa watashi ~ OL Yôko no shinya zangyô ~

Wasn't expecting much from this movie but it actually was interesting start to finish. Yoko the main character has trouble waking up in the morning and exhausted working her job. Turns out she has a split personality. The outgoing one is out on the town all night seeking sex. Eventually Yoko figures out the other personality and communicates with an exchange diary. Usually these type of stories are about each personality hating or destructive of the other. This movie takes a different route.

Masami Ichikawa who plays Yoko is really excellent in the part. She's better known as a AV actress. This movie might count as a pink film except nudity and sex is definitely part of the story and doesn't go nearly as far as most pink films. It really stays focused on the characters and situations. IMDb classifies this as Adult but it is not.

I'll definitely watch this movie again sometime. Unfortunately, the English subtitles on mine were a bit off. Fortunately, it's not that difficult to understand. A lot was He instead of She. It instead of me or you. Since Japanese doesn't use those. Possibly my subtitles used an online translator as they often make those mistakes.

Still this movie is worth watching.
