Ett sista race

This is probably the most horrible rip-off in the history of mankind. And to ad insult to injury, it's a rip-off of not one, but two movies in one go.

The original movies, Børning 1 & 2, may not be masterpieces, but they do catch the feel and the essence of the old Hal Needham movies, and I do like them a lot.

This, however, is sad enough to make a grown man cry, and I urge you to spare yourselves.

Malin Åkerman. You played Laurie Jupiter in 'The Watchmen', and damn if you didn't make me proud to be from Sweden when I saw your performance in that movie. You have acted together with Forest Whitaker and Bruce Willis in 'Catch 44' and done a wonderful job doing so. How in the world did you en up in this travesty?

The rest of the Swedish cast may or may not have had much of a choice, but you should have stayed the hell away from this.

Bottom line? Stay away from this. Watch Børning 1&2 instead.

I am sure that worse things has been produced before. But throw in a large budget and a stellar cast and this must take some kind of prize, such as "the worst utilized movie budget ever" or "it should be impossible to fail but still they managed".

Now, I am a man that cannot stand the Swedish "buskis" genre. I despise Markoolios mother. I loath "Morran and Tobias". So, if you are like me, then just stay away from this utter rubbish.

However, should be avid followers of the above stuff, then maybe this is actually something for your demented brain to dwell upon. If you have absolutely no taste, combined with a very low IQ: Then go ahead!

Most of this movie was a bit funny, but most of the plot was copied from the Norwegain movie called Børning aka Burning, that came out many years ago, 2014 I think. The Børning movie also got 2 follow up movies to make it series. The second one came out in 2016 and the 3rd one came out in 2020.

Anyone who has seen the Norwegian movie will recognize several scene all over the movie. Why they have copied so much from that movie in this movie I do not know, but clearly the writers was hoping no one would remember the original movie from Norway that was called Børning that came out 2014.

But I can guess that most people do not know where those ideas comes from, so the company figured out that they could rewrite the store 10 years later and make a very similar movie and earn a heap of money.

It only get worse from there as the actors in this movie just don't do so good with the characters that was done in the original movie.

So I will suggest that instead of seeing this movie, you go and see if you can find Børning (2014) and watch that instead because it is a lot better.

If you as a Swede want to see a Swedish car movie, this is absolutely worth seeing, but it should be said that the Norwegian original from 2014 was better, funnier and had better scenery. You should see this Swedish version first The original also seemed to have a larger budget for the time, had more racers, was a longer race with a legendary finish line, and had better stunts, more laughs depending on your sense of humour.

The race antagonist was as in the original supposed to be pathetic and childish, but in this he is just too pathetic to care about beating. The police antagonist in this movie was a woman with finnish-swedish accent, and is hard to compare to the original they both played very well as the classic arch nemesis of the main character. Personally I find the Norwegian version more believable.

The Tesla driver, Johan Glans was hilarious, but I was hoping for more.

I don't really know if this is a children's film or a film for older people. In any case, it scores the best points for a bit of nostalgia, with retired Swedish comedians. But beyond that, there's not much that's fun. But there are many half-hearted attempts. Or is the humor so intelligent that it only makes fun of bad American cultfilms? I really don't know.

Only Johan Glans is funny on a few occasions. The story offers no surprises. Anyone could have made this funnier, or less ridiculous.

It's not enough to have several talented municipalities in place. There must be feeling and self-criticism.
