Meurtres à Figeac

Manon has come back to Figeac where she lost her husband one year ago. Then her brother-in-law, Olivier, a gendarmerie commander tells her that there is a mummified corpse in the "Champollion Museum". It's the corpse of Monique Neyrolles, a farmer. Around the corpse many hieroglyphs. Manon and her friend Sophie , the egyptologist, try to look for a message. After Olivier and Manon pay a visit to Bruno Neyrolles and Roxane and then to Nicolas and Valérie. Manon has the feeling that this murder and the death of her husband Alexandre are connected. Then Bruno is found dead in his barn and some days later Nicolas is stabbed in his bathroom.

An interesting murder investigation with the good performances of Stéphane Plaza, Samira Lachhab, Julie-Anne-Roth, Françoise Muranyi-Kovacs, Lorette Nyssen, Joyce Bibring, Pierre Laplace, Nicolas Devanne and Sébastien Pierre.

A film about family . The relations between its members, dark secrets, revenges from love, a mask and messages in hyeroglifes. And, sure, the spirit of Meutres a... .

For me, it is the film of a scene - Manon crying in rain, near the river.

And, sure, good opportunity to remind, from college, the poor knowledge about Ancient Egyptian civilization, the mask of Anubis being a good guide.

The story of Alexander reminds, in same measure, the high need of refugees when the life is far to be what we expect.

In short, nice job. A fair story and conventional end. And, sure, remind, in nice manner of precious details from near reality.
