This is a movie that shouldn't have been made. A serious subject treated like a fluffy marshmallow s'more. Spoiler Questions; 1. Wouldn't a normal person ask for a paternity test first? 2. If the man I just married hung out with his best friend more than me, wouldn't I start asking questions? 3. How could it be summertime with everyone in t-shirts and the very next day have snow on the ground? 4. What is funny about getting 2 women preggers at the same time?
You get the picture. The picture is offensive, poorly written, horrendously directed, and career breakers for the whole cast. Save yourself the two hours. Go read a book instead.

Wow. I saw this as part of a Screen Unseen preview and didn't know what movie it was going to be. It's September and rated R so there was a good chance it could be early horror for Halloween but the duration was an even 90 minutes which felt like it could be a comedy (NOTE: AMC only tells you the rating and film length). Once the title came up, I felt confident it was meant to fall into the comedy category and might even lean raunchy.
Nope, this is a non-raunchy comedy with no nudity or sex scenes to speak of. Rather, depending on your personal situation and views could arguably be considered a horror although there are no deaths in the movie either.
I don't always know what is going to happen in a movie but sometimes I can see what is coming. In this movie, I was surprised multiple times. There are definitely moments of humor and a love story intertwined and a lot of heart-felt situations as well. The challenge is going to be the absurdity of some of it but, also, I've been around long enough to know - this could readily be a true story in Florida.
By the time you're a 3rd of the way in, it's hard to see how there could be any truly unanimous happy ending and, for many audience go-ers, I think it won't be a happy ending for them. But for some few, including me, it could be seen as a happy ending with the promise of hope - although you need to watch all the way through the credits to get the final ending.
For me, I liked it quite a bit but I can easily see how this could be very polarizing for audiences depending on your beliefs and demographics.

If you told me that a movie literally titled The Threesome was not only going to be hilarious but also grounded, mature, and frankly pretty beautiful, I would've thought you were crazy.
Let's start with the obvious, this movie is so funny. Almost every joke lands, several times I was laughing obnoxiously loud. Generationally hilarious performance from Zoey Deutch in this. I am baffled on how she isn't in more movies. I challenge you to think of a single movie where she wasn't the best part of it. She is so incredibly funny. Don't get me wrong, the other actors were funny too. Jabouki Young-White was super funny as Greg, and Ruby Cruz gave me some good laughs, but Zoey Deutch really carried it for me.
The movie was frankly sweet as hell! It's not easy to make a movie about a threesome turned double pregnancy into a heartwarming story about all the messy catches that come with being in love. Hate to keep beating a dead horse but Zoey Deutch nailed the heartfelt scenes as well! Truly, hats off to whoever decided to cast her in this because good lord was she great.
Saying that the movie The Threesome was shockingly mature sounds like an oxymoron but alas here we are. A big topic of this movie was abortion. And it looked at it, in such a real, profound way. It never turned into a pro-life MAGA thing, but it didn't romanticize abortion either. That's a tough, sad decision for someone to make. And someone should have every right to not want to get an abortion out of their own moral beliefs, as someone should have the right to get one. Ruby Cruz's character was originally portrayed as this "anti-abortion religious freak" but as you get to know her, it's just her fears and beliefs. She would judge herself for getting one, but she never once even hints that she doesn't believe in the right to, just that it isn't for her. This movie was really what being pro-choice is all about. The choice.
I was lucky enough to see this movie early, so that I can tell you guys, ignore the haters! This movie is awesome! It's a fun, rated R, romcom, that also makes you really think about love and relationships, what else could you ask for?

Extremely boring tried to give it a genuine chance but this has to be one of the stupidest, most uninspired, contrived, poorly written, and even worse acted I've ever seen. I'm usually not one to watch a rom com but can certainly appreciate high level artistry when I see it such as La La Land or 10 Things I Hate About You, and this couldn't be farther from that. The jokes are simply not funny and reads like a 50 year old man who just discovered sex for the first time. He's clearly high on the smell of his own farts because instead of writing anything with earnestness or conviction he relies on the bottom rung, teenage sexual humor that you would expect to see from Seth Rogen 30 years ago. The actors certainly aren't doing anything to elevate this film and the lead male actor couldn't lead a herd of sheep if he tried. He says his lines like he's reading off a teleprompter while simultaneously trying to act like what he thinks an actor should act like. It feels more like a student film done by a horny teenager than a movie with real depth. I am writing this review while watching this movie and this might be the most disappointed I've been watching a film. Hopefully you enjoy this more than I did.
Saw this Monday night mystery movie in Orlando. Its was very funny yet brought a level of the fact things happen for a reason. Reminds me of the days before the internet and going to Kendal Square cinema 🎥 in Cambridge Massachusetts. Lots of great finds like this little gem was. Go see it its well worth it. Lea Thompsons daughter is just as funny as her mom.
