Spellbound is a great mix of magic and dance: there's a nice pace to the story and some suspense. Cece is funny and cute, and the other cast members are great (and there's Armando Castillo from Find in Me in Paris!!). The locations look amazing: Paris, the Opera Garnier and the witch shop (I want to buy everything!). The ballet is of great quality, the Macbeth show looks like a real showcase (I would definitively go see this on stage), with fantastic costumes. I think the girls will enjoy it, but it's cool to see a ballet show with boys in it as well. Looking forward to watching more episodes.
Spellbound is a delightful kid/teen show that combines magic, romance, and dance in a charming way. The story follows Cece, whose dream is to become a great dancer. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she discovers she has magical powers. The show explores her journey as she tries to balance her rigorous dance training with mastering her newfound magic.
With cute magic moments, vibrant dance sequences, and a romantic subplot (Cece seems to fall for a new guy every episode), the show is light and fun. While the acting is OK, the overall charm of the story makes it enjoyable. If you liked Just Add Magic, you'll love Spellbound. It's the perfect pick for fans of teen shows looking for something whimsical and entertaining.

As a successor to find me in Paris this is such a great show I am loving it so much so far hope we get more references and connections to the previous show at some point down the line

The acting is bad, the premise seems under developed and the choreography, both ballet and hip-hop almost makes me understand why there are people who think Raygun is brilliant. And yet I keep watching. I guess I need my questions answered. Like, why the lead actress was cast if she cannot dance point? Why are there so many first-time actors in a new series? Is it the actors or the director? Do I keep watching because I'm keeping hope alive? So many questions. Not the least of which is how did this get green lit for a second season?
There is a certain innocence about it that would be slightly more believable if the actors were age appropriate or if the storyline was primary school age.
Whatever. I will get to bottom of this at least until I no longer care.

Yes, it's a pretty simple plot. But it's a cute show that's set in Paris with witches, so I'm hooked. I know nothing about ballet but the dancing is pretty. It's a good distraction and far more inclusive than other witch stories out there.
How awesome is it that Cece is the most powerful witch in the world? She still needs to learn how to use her powers and is surrounded by many other witches to help her.
The world needs more upscale apothecaries run by witches of color. Plus, I want all of aunt Ginger's clothes. And a broom closet that can take me anywhere I want to go. Maybe I just want to be aunt Ginger.
