Marisa Monte: Diariamente

Life, its situations and what helps us in times of small or big problems were never depicted and described in such a beautiful and reflective manner as in the song "Diariamente" and its impressive music video. It's one of the greatest music videos of all time (in my book), and my personal favorite of Marisa (the song too, it's so chill and cute).

It's a lovely animation, made through simplistic visuals but a most interesting endless transition, that follows Marisa Monte's voice and lyrics describing scenarios. To each situation, there's a solution, at times very unconventional and the audience/listener really need to know the reference she's using ("to quiet a voice, use castor") or some relevant but slightly obscure to a clueless person ("for test days, amnesia"), or sad ones ("to the woman who had an abortion, take a rest"). And the drawings morph from scenarios and characters time and again.

Great technique use, adorable style and while some might find corny or not so special when music videos follow exactly a song, but I love those kind of experiences. It's very creative and it makes you remember the music and the lyrics. A truly special clip, one of a kind. "For you, everything you like, have it daily." 10/10.
