Very emotional

A very complex love story, and confusing in some situations, however I guess that's what I liked the most, because one doesn't always need to understand what is happening or how, just like in real life. Just to enjoy.

It has intense themes, that's why it was very emotional for me, but I really liked that this series shows a perspective regarding of how true love is/could be. It's unbreakable, it has no boundaries, it's pure and neverending.

I also liked the cast, I have seen the some of them in other series, but very good acting for all of them, in my opinion.

An excellent kdrama, I finished it in less than two days. :)

I couldn't stop watching

Let me be honest. At first, I didn't plan to watch this k-drama, but I did because of Ahn Hyo-seop (I know you are not judging me for that, hahaha), and it was so worth it!

I agree with everyone who said that Jeon Yeo-been's (f lead) performance was outstanding. In that confusing and sometimes shocking time loop, I thought there were different actresses. She managed to play them all too well (like different ages, different people and still played by one person, bravo!)

The main plot as I said earlier was very confusing, yet in a very good way. A few times, I thought that I could predict something, and then everything was changing so quickly that my brain needed to use all of its resources to adapt to the new turns. On Ep.11, it all became overwhelming, and I started to look forward to seeing the final. I'm glad it's 12 episodes and not 16 or more.

While watching the drama, I had thoughts that if I wanted, I could find a lot of gaps or I would have a whole bunch of questions to writers, but I decided to enjoy the series, as sorry, but this is much better and rare than "King the land" or whatever.

Overall I did enjoy watching it. I think you will not regret watching it either.

A wonderful stand alone kdrama

As the title says - the drama itself is a solid and stand alone kdrama. It has all yhe elements of beautiful cinematography, EXCELLENT acting by the cast and especially by actress Jeon Yeobeen, who played the dual role of Junhee and Minju, perfect pacing, and OST.

It gave justice to the remake. I could not ask for more!

Recommend, especially when you are into time travelling

Emotions were felt to the bone. What an unbelievable beautiful love story. I binge watched it almost in one day. Really couldn't stop watching, the story was so good.

This series had a strong storyline with unexpected twist plots. The time traveling was rather difficult, but the writers did a great job "explaining" through the events that were taken place so it became clear while watching.

The FL and ML did a marvellous job. Their heartbreaking emotions felt so real. Although the few kisses they shared weren't that passionate, I expected more.

The switching between characters must have been hard for Jeon Yeo-been, but she did a great job.

I highly recommend, especially when you are into time travelling.

A Must Watch Kdrama, 1000 times recommended!!!

I have to admit, I'm overwhelmed with how much I loved A Time Called You. As someone who usually doesn't write reviews, this K-drama completely swept me off my feet, and I felt compelled to share my thoughts. It's truly an amazing K-drama that had me hooked from start to finish.

The show's concept is fresh and unique, blending romance, time travel, and mystery in a way I haven't seen before. I've watched a lot of K-dramas, but A Time Called You stands out for its intriguing storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat. From the very beginning, the plot is interesting and engaging, and it never loses momentum. I was always looking forward to the next episode, eager to see how the story would unfold.

The acting was absolutely awesome. Jeon Yeo-bin and Ahn Hyo-seop bring their characters to life with such depth and chemistry that you can't help but become emotionally invested in their journey. Their performances are one of the main reasons why the series is so gripping. Some people have said that it's a confusing K-drama, but honestly, I didn't find it confusing at all. The narrative was clear and well-executed, and I was able to follow along easily.

The cinematography in A Time Called You is simply beautiful. The way the 1998 timeline was shot with its nostalgic yet dream-like quality made me feel like I was truly transported to another time. The visuals are stunning, and they add so much to the overall atmosphere of the show.

I was saying to myself that my mood for the next few days would depend on how this K-drama ends, and I'm happy to say that it didn't disappoint me. The ending was absolutely beautiful and left me feeling satisfied. It tied everything together in a way that felt both fulfilling and emotionally resonant.

At the end i wanna sum up my words with these words: A Time Called You is a totally underrated and must-watch for anyone who enjoys K-dramas with a unique premise, excellent acting, and stunning visuals. It may be overwhelming at times, but it's definitely worth the emotional investment. If you're looking for a drama that will captivate you from beginning to end and leave you with a lasting impression, look no further.

Can rewatch any time!

A bit rush in the end and a bit confusing..maybe,maybe not. Upto people.

The story line and dialogues..everything went so good. Heartwarming, emotional fools may cry(I did).

Story went little bit confusing in 8th ep. I had to rewatch it to get it afterwards. And there was one character which made the whole confusion. There was actually no need of that character. And most importantly storyline ended so fast in the last ep. I really really wanted that to see more happenings but alas!

Anyway, leading lady, Jeon Yeo-been was absolutely so good to reflect emotions(Iykyk). And nextly Evil one(better I don't say it) and male lead..actually everyone acted so well.

Remake of Taiwanese Drama someday or One Day

For those who do not know, this is a remake of the 2019 series from Taiwan called Someday or One Day. The original series in my opinion is much better ( as most originals are).

The reason being is that the acting from Alice Ko and Greg Han. As well the tightness of the editing makes the series more captivating and the mystery linger longer. As well, because I loved the original so much, watching this remake, I continuously want to compare it to the original.

I do find that they did very much keep the story similar, with some elements here, and there that they changed.

This series is pretty OK but I sincerely do feel everyone should check out the Taiwanese one.

A time travel romance story that focuses too much only on romance

It is not unusual for Netflix to release Korean remakes of popular shows. Money Heist and Designated Survivor have already recently proved that the formula works; a decent story is a decent story in any language, and the trademark quality of acting and production found in Kdrama tends to provide a little uplift overall. But A Time Called You is riskier territory, as it's not just a remake, but a remake of a beloved Taiwanese classic titled Someday or One Day.

There's a lot of intrigue from the get-go, as the names of the characters who resemble each other aren't revealed until the end of the first episode. Given the constant back and forth, body swapping, and parallel timelines, writer Choi Hyo-bi remains largely consistent with the sharp, pacy writing throughout the show. There's a steady build-up in intrigue, especially with regard to the whodunit element. Every plot point in this show's complex narrative finds a place in a time loop, and the effort that has gone into the writing is evident from how it all unravels neatly.

The pace also, in a way, becomes this K-Drama's biggest enemy as it robs the show of much of its emotional nuance and depth. The show instead constantly shifts focus, and proceeds to march forward in an inexplicable hurry. While it goes without saying that A Time Called You requires a willing suspension of disbelief given the paradoxes of the world it is set in, the writing in the last two episodes stretches this to the hilt. Nevertheless, for a show that's packed to the brim and has a convoluted plot towards the end, the writing remains taut, and manages to nearly tie up all its loose ends. Music plays the most important and positive part in this 12 episode drama.

For a show which started with great promise in the first half, felt a litte flat in the second half with loosen grip in writing and focusing more on romance between the leads, rather than expanding the friendship of the trio. Nonetheless, it's a good one time watch.

My Rating : 7/10.

Soul Retrieval

"A Time Called you" started off as seemingly another stereotypical time travelling show with a typical scenario. Girl returns to the past in order to change the future. However, by episode 2, I was already totally immersed into the storytelling surrounding the main protagonists and their personal tragedies, from death to suicide and social exclusion.

It was spectacular to witness how each episodes ends answering one question only to create another dilemma in the process. Don't expect the solution to be delivered on a silver plate.

In fact, be prepared for an intense rollercoaster of diverse emotions which will culminate in rooting for a happy end.

Beautiful (but confusing)

This series was truly a rollercoaster. First of all, I must say that Ahn Hyo-seop's delivery in this series was wonderful. The acting in general was impressive, but he just stood out to me. I also think this story had the perfect amount of episodes, I was hooked from the beginning all the way 'til the end.

My favorite thing about this series are the emotions it makes you feel. This series was a whirlwind of emotions. I especially liked the nostalgic vibe it brought to the table.

Like a lot of people have already said, this show's biggest flaw is how confusing it is. The plot was really easy to follow up until about halfway through. After like episode 6 or 7 the plot suddenly started to fall apart and it became harder to keep up with everything. Considering this series is about time travel, it could have been even more confusing, but I think I would have enjoyed this more if it had a more clear plot.

One of the best time travel drama but ending was not so convincing.

1st of all sorry for my bad English...

This was full of rollercoaster feelings. You have to be more focused if you want to feel the drama. You even can't imagine what will gonna happen and who's the main villain until the end. I must say the actress was so good. She portraits 2 characters so well. I was so many time travel kdrama. I must say it was the best one. Story was perfect in my opinion although it was remake of a thai drama which I didn't know.

It was all good and perfect except the ending. I am not quite satisfied with the ending. Felt like they rushed and gave a happy ending forcefully.

such a unique plot omg

This Netflix drama is a heartfelt adaptation of the Taiwanese series "Someday or One Day". It tells the story of Han Jun Hee, who is grieving the loss of her boyfriend, and mysteriously travels back in time to the year 1998, where she meets a boy who looks exactly like him. The drama blends elements of time travel, romance, and nostalgia, making it both touching and thought-provoking. The love story across different timelines is beautifully portrayed by Jeon Yeo Been and Ahn Hyo Seop, who bring an emotional depth to their characters that will leave viewers invested in their fate.

"A Time Called You" is perfect for those who enjoy a more melancholic, bittersweet love story with a sci-fi twist. The time travel element adds layers of complexity to the plot, but the emotional core of the show is always the deep connection between the main characters. The drama explores themes of loss, fate, and how love can transcend time, making it a standout romantic drama for 2023.

Beautifully Written

This Kdrama was not your typical Kdrama love story with all the cliche rich guy, poor girl, tripping over her feet, let's kiss in the rain scenes. This was beautifully written and very well executed by the director and actors. There was a sense of innocents filled with joy, sadness and a clear message about depression and suicide. At one point when Kwon Min-ju did the absolutely unexpected, I was upset. How does she not have any self preservation?!!! However, I was quickly humbled as I began to understand Min-ju a little bit more. I love the depth that was added to EVERY SINGLE character. Nowadays I pretty much know how a story is going to go and I spend hours looking for shows that I can't predict. This one really kept me guessing till the very end 🙂. Thanks for this gem!!!

I'm in rollercoaster!!

I don't know what should I say. This series stuck in my head now. Truly speaking I enjoyed this drama. Before I start, I've never watched the original Taiwanese version that everyone seemed to enjoy, so this is my view on how I watched the drama without knowing the original plot. I was so excited when Netflix announced this show and cast the artists who are my most favourite.

First for all I want talk about characters. Ahn Hyo Seop, Jeon Yeo Bin, Kang Hoon are main play the lead roles. They are play very well and their performance is so natural and wonderful. Especially Jeon Yeo Bin, Yeo Been does a fantastic job of understanding the character and delivering as both Jun Hee/Min Joo. Ahn Hyo Seop and Kang Hoon friendship chemistry is so good . I love them so much.

A truly gripping story that keeps you hooked throughout all the episodes with lovable characters, great acting performances by the cast and a beautiful OST that adds that something extra. A rollercoaster of emotion. They brought me laughter and sadness. It's make me cry a lot .

I'll totally recommend this drama to anyone and I'll add it to my 2016 list of best dramas released . All the actors did a great job .

It's a solid 10/10 for me .

For the best watching experience I'll suggest you watch it on 1.5x speed but watch it on normal speed when the main leads hyo seop and yeo been are together in a scene.

Their chemistry is everything and more .

True Love is beyond all logics!

You will love it if you don't let logics work for you! A Korean drama that emphasizes on intense true love. A time travel love story of a couple to not let each other go away n keep traveling back in time to change their current status quo. Very complex to understand, dark n confusing but yet love keeps over shining every logics. I personally adored it as I'm an obvious fan of romantic stories. 12 episodes series each of one hour avilable in Netflix. My ratings 7/10!

Kept me hooked til the end

First of all, the chemistry and acting of the 3 main leads is amazing. Loved Ahn Hyo Seop's boyish charms and acting. He is a strong actor and was great in this drama as usual. The Female lead, Jeon Yeo Been did an amazing job creating subtle but distinct differences between the 2 female characters. I hadn't realized that she was such a great actor until this drama. I also loved Kang Hoon as In-Gyu. He is just adorable and who wouldn't fall in love with his charactor. His acting was also excellent and the 3 of them played off of each other so well.

But most of all, I loved the LOVE STORY! I enjoyed this drama immensely and highly recommend it.

A Masterpiece

I watched this drama today on 2nd Jan 2024. Trust me, this is a masterpiece without a doubt. I'll tell you my overall experience in short, just stay tuned.

So, starting with 1st episode, I felt this as one of the old, irritating theme of a romcom drama, but it was not late that I found it as something very unusual thing to see. Yes, after episode 2nd my interest started to grow. Very soon after 2nd episode I found it so interesting that I binged it for 7 complete hours. Till the very end I was full of mixed feelings and sad that it was about to end.

Every character in drama is well written and actors (&actresses) have played an outstanding role in the same. Yes, this drama can turn confusing, a little boring at times, but if you stay tuned till the very end I believe most of the doubts will be sloved. And I request you to see it from the view point of emotions and not try to find logic in things every now and then.

Conclusion: Yes, this is very much worth of a try and I personally give it a 10/10 rating.

Thank you.

Korean take is not bad.

It is difficult to not compare this with the original but I watched it with an open mind. I did find this to be a good take of the original but it lost a lot of the great things the original have.

For me...
  • It failed to build the solid and profound relationship between the male leads. It really wasn't as meaningful as the original.

  • Things are more spelled out in this version. The dialogues explain what is going on. The original version on the other hand compels the audience to put the puzzle together because clues are definitely there. The audience becomes more of the mystery-solvers.

  • Some of the characters, though existed in the original, did not play a role in the drama (ie. The brother)

  • They reduced the adventures of the teens. The adventures of the original shows a before and after situation - and that changes the characters. Because this version had less of it, it is very weak in setting a distinction between two characters. The distinction was instead made in the dialogues (spelling it out)

I like that the drama stayed true to the original for the most part. But its weaknesses were the removal of the some of the greatest aspects of the original. There's a lot going for this drama, and it could have been better - it being a remake. It just didn't dig enough as profoundly as the original.

This went from finally being a netflix blockbuster to being another netflix craptacular.

For the life of me I don't know why either Netflix or the writer who wrote this story messed up the ending as well as other things in this series. The beginning was pretty much non existent until the end of the series, the rest of the story wasn't even explained well. For example The lead male actor was in love with the new min jun. She was actually the little kid whom he defended while playing video games. Min jun was in a different dimension. When Jun Hee finally saved Min Jun what it was never explained at the end when they both run into each other what happened to Min Ju and In Gyu since they both finally got together after he saved her. The ending had no closure not complete at all and the person who she did fell in love with didn't exist because Si Heon actually took over Yeon Jun's body. We don't even know what the real story was with the real Yeon Jun. Too many missing pieces and an inconclusive ending. Justice was not done to main actor and actress as they performed their roles flawlessly. It seems like somebody is trying to sabotage Hyo-Seop's career. This is the second time he has been involved in a drama with an inconclusive ending. The first one being Business Proposal. I wish netflix and this writer would get their heads out of the part of the body where the sun don't shine and write a better ending.

Amazing drama, romance with time travel

I was going to skip it at first but then decided to try watching the first episode. I loved it so much!

A Time Called You has such an interesting concept. It is well written, well made, with complex characters. It keeps giving you new twists you didn't expect and keeps you on your toes the whole time. The actors are also great, such a good cast.

I ended up watching the whole thing in two days, it's very much binge worthy. I wish there was more or that there would be a second season even though it makes sense to end it where they did.

Please give it a chance, it is so interesting and so different from other kdramas.
