The plot holes are SO annoying. In. Every. Single. Episode. You could drive an ocean liner through the many plot holes! Sad thing is they aren't hard to fix but there's just no care or concern to do so on the part of any of the directors as evidenced in Roth's sit down and chat with them. Roth's insistence that each and every particular urban legend is the most well known and widespread gets tiresome and phony since I've lived a lot longer than he has and never heard of half of theses and the one I heard the most isn't even done or mentioned. The acting wasn't all bad (depends on the episode). The show is worth a watch and INFINITELY better than Two Sentence Horror Stories.
I love urban legends, so I decided to give this one a try, despite being produced and created by "master" Eli Roth (arguably one of the worst well known horror directors)
While episodes were not directed by Eli, show has his prints all over them, starting with dull uninteresting direction, terrible pacing and dialogues that only Eli Roth can deliver.
So far I've seen two episodes, "The Red Room" and "The bite" and both were equally dull, boring and drawn out, in particular "The Bite" felt like I was watching two hour movie, when each episode is around 35 minutes long.
Acting is wooden and stiff, but this might be more related to poor direction, especially in "The Bite".

I was a bit hesitant about watching this series at first as I have not had much luck finding decent horror anthologies besides Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities. By no means am I putting this series in that league. It's not, however I find each story that I watched entertaining enough, and production values and the acting was fairly decent.
I would have of course liked to see them more closely follow the urban legends they seem based off, instead of going a bit 'out there' with them. Which is especially the case of the 2nd one in the series.
However, they are watchable and kept me wanting to see what was happening next.

I was not impressed. Most of the episodes were just simply boring. There was maybe 2 episodes that were a bit better in atmosphere and story, but that wasn't nearly enough to carry the dead weight of the rest of the show.
The acting was not good but not horrible, mostly just weird. Stories had very little content which made them boring and felt prolonged. Production was clearly pretty cheap but not terrible.
Most of the episodes didn't really seem to me like an urban legends and those that did, were told very differently from the original - they added a lot of nonsense and boring stuff to fill the 40 something minutes.
I don't know why they haven't cancelled this show already.

This is an anthology horror series produced by Eli Roth. Each episode is supposed to be an urban legend and ends with a section where Eli chats with the newly discovered filmmaker. That chat is the least compelling part of every episode. I do appreciate Eli giving these people some facetime, but they usually have nothing interesting to say. The actors tend to be newbies which gives an interesting vibe. This is not a big production. At its core, this show has an indie horror feel. For the first season, episode 5 is good. The others are mostly simplistic and a bit boring. I don't know if there are more seasons to come.
