Shounen no Abyss

Called Boys Abyss on Viki - Terrible theme - there is a reason for the R rating which is a very dark depressing drama which showcases every character as having some kind of mental illness with thoughts of suicide. From a mother, to a female teacher, to an idol, to friends, with the contributing factor of the small sick town, the male lead has everyone wanting to bring him down even more for one reason or another while he is a teen and just experiencing his own first sexual encounters so his young emotional attachments cannot be dealt with properly with all the pressures coming from every direction around him. My stars are actually for the ML actor Towa Araki which was the best thing about this drama, since he did a great job with such a depressing theme. Would like to see him progress in his career to a theme more uplifting in the future. Can't say I am a fan of the ending of this drama either.
