Failed to hook me
Despite an interesting premise and a strong performance from the lead character, I can't see how this show can go on for long without becoming repetitive. The first two episodes already moves at a snails pace without anything of substance happening. Add to that a weak performance by the supporting cast, the majority of which plays the same character, I fear this show is off to a rough start but with Vince at the helm I'm still holding out hope that he might surprise me and turn this into another hit.
Good Show, but the 9/10 Rating Feels Inflated
I enjoyed Pluribus and I think it's definitely a well-made series with solid acting, atmosphere, and an interesting premise. The production quality is high and the story keeps you engaged most of the time.
However, the extremely high rating it currently has - around 9/10 - feels unrealistic to me. While the show is good, it's far from perfect. Some episodes drag, a few character arcs feel underdeveloped, and the pacing isn't always consistent. These flaws make the near-perfect score look more like a hype bubble than an accurate reflection of the show's actual quality.
Overall, I'd say it's a good series worth watching, but the rating creates expectations that the show simply doesn't meet.

Intriguing Premise, But Struggling to Grab Me So Far
Two episodes in, I'm not sure what to think yet. The concept is original and there's definitely something interesting here, but as often happens with Vince Gilligan, it takes a long time to get moving. The slow-burn approach is intentional, yet at times it feels overly drawn out, and I caught myself skipping ahead during a few scenes that just lingered too long.
It looks great, the acting is solid, and the idea has real potential, but I'm struggling to feel fully engaged. I'm more curious than excited, and I still don't really see where the show is heading. It's not bad at all, just a bit too slow, occasionally dull, and not gripping enough from the start.
Hopefully it finds its rhythm.

Started promising
Episode 1-2 were engaging and the concept was fantastic, even though it's a mix of other sci fi movies. However I agree with most of the reviews that it is slow from episode 3-5 (that's all I've watched) but I'm willing to persevere in the hope of a rewarding ending, which there is only one but I won't write spoilers. The main protagonist Carol is unlikeable but that's not a bad thing! The character representing the antagonists, Zosia, is infinitely more likeable and she is a very good actress too. Persevere with it - might be worth it - unfortunately can't rate it any better than 6.

When I first heard people saying this series would be "on the level of Breaking Bad," I was genuinely excited. That's not a comparison you throw around lightly. Breaking Bad had tension, depth, character evolution, moral ambiguity-everything that keeps you glued to the screen. So naturally, I went in with high expectations, ready to be blown away. But instead of finding something bold or gripping, what I got was yet another recycled, predictable story about humanity facing extinction. And honestly? It's exhausting.
The show keeps pretending it's offering something profound or groundbreaking, but it's just the same end-of-the-world formula dressed in slightly different clothing. Countless scenes feel weighed down by clichés I've seen a thousand times: the dramatic speeches about the fragility of mankind, the gloomy pacing meant to feel "deep," the characters who seem to exist only to repeat the same philosophical one-liners about survival and purpose. It's like the writers think that if they talk about extinction enough, it'll magically become interesting.
Instead of building suspense or exploring complex characters, the series leans entirely on the premise that "the world is ending"-as if that alone should be enough to keep viewers hooked. But it isn't. Not anymore. The emotional beats feel forced, the plot progresses with all the enthusiasm of a slow-moving train, and the whole experience ends up being more boring than compelling.
I wanted a show with personality, originality, or at least some sense of direction. Instead, it's just another addition to the growing pile of apocalyptic dramas that mistake constant doom for good storytelling. By the time I finished, I wasn't shocked, moved, or thrilled-I was simply disappointed. The series promised greatness and delivered mediocrity wrapped in monotony.
Boring.
