A Party to Die For

Sadie is down on life. Her father is in prison. She's working at her cousin's store when she gets picked up by club owner Owen. He sees through her lies but it doesn't bother the new boyfriend. She is a new confident self. She starts lying more and more. She gets invited by rich party girl Jessica to a party. While Owen is away, she invites Jessica to his home with the lie that she owns it. Jessica is showing more and more red flags. She kills a guy and Sadie helps to clean up the mess.

This is Tubi and it starts with Inspired by Real Events. It does not inspire confidence. The idea could be interesting. I could root for Sadie, but she's running through so many red flags. Listen, this is on her. It does not make it compelling. I am mostly waiting for the movie to end.
