Restaurants am Ende der Welt

Stumbled onto this show whilst looking for something fun, inspiring and family friendly. This hit the mark. The destinations were amazing, the restaurants featured were fantastic and the host Kristen was engrossing and charming. What a great show. My 16 year old loved the show so much we ended up bing watching the series. Added all the restaurants to my instagram and bucket list. What a great way to feature incredible chefs and restaurants from around the world. The filming was also excellent making you feel as if you were there with Kristin. From the waterfalls, to the ocean. Bring on season 2.

Turning the local ingredients into exceptional meals, Chef Kristen visits far flung locations and restaurants that offer her (and us) opportunities to experience places and food's most of us would never otherwise have seen.

Her honest approach and openness to the location and food creates amazing experiences and dishes that you'll wish you could taste, even the outrageous ones.

My only complaint is that there are only 4 episodes! I want more of everything she gave us and hopefully we will get another season or something else like this.

This series is basically a sleepy mix of travel and cooking show that somehow encapsulates what is essentially the worst parts of both. Kristen Kish, the host, just doesn't have the personality to pull a show like this off. Apparently, her claim to fame is winning Top Chef, but even fans from there will quickly realize how poorly fit she is for a series like this. She is as unenthusiastic about everything as humanly possible - probably at least partly because the places they choose to go in most of the episodes are just downright boring.

The only time I can imagine a full episode of this show playing are somewhere where the TV has been left on and no one is actually watching it.
