A poignant and thought-provoking piece, this short film masterfully transports viewers into the unassuming world of two inanimate yet essential companions we often overlook in our daily lives. Through sharp sound design, striking imagery, and beautifully crafted cinematography, the film evokes deep empathy, compassion, and a renewed sense of connection. Its creative vision invites us to see the familiar with fresh eyes, transforming the ordinary into something extraordinary. With its clever storytelling and emotional resonance, this film leaves a lasting impression, relying on minimal dialogue and a powerful "show, don't tell" approach that allows the audience to engage actively and craft their own perspective. It reminds us of the silent, often invisible threads that weave meaning into everyday existence.
Loay Tattan's "In My Shoes" is a remarkable film that takes a simple object - a pair of shoes - and explores the complex web of human relationships that surround it. Through a series of interconnected stories, the film illuminates the ways in which our lives are shaped by the objects we use and discard, and how those objects can connect us to others in unexpected ways.
Tattan's direction is masterful, with a keen eye for detail and a sensitivity to the emotional undercurrents of each scene. The cinematography is stunning, capturing both the beauty and the grit of the film's world with equal skill.
The film is anchored by a remarkable performance from the "supposed" shoes themselves (Kodos to the camera man), which become fully realized characters in their own right. Through their journey, we come to understand the joys, sorrows, and struggles of the people whose lives they touch, and the ways in which those lives are intertwined.
At its core, "In My Shoes" is a film about empathy, about the ways in which we can learn to see the world through the eyes of others. It is a profound and deeply moving work of art that deserves to be seen and celebrated by audiences worldwide. Simply put, it is a triumph of cinema, and a true masterpiece of the art form.

Cielo was not just playing with my mind, he was playing with my hormones. He is THE king of perspective.
I mean, this literally changed my view of life, look at life from less than two meters below your eyes is a totally different life all together.
I loved how when you're fully invested in the story of one character, the next arc will pull you forcefully from your excitement and put you into another one so you'll keep wanting more and more. The flow of the film is flawless, it is breathtaking.
You'll get totally emerged when watch this film you'll not know when someone is being murdered next to you.

"In My Shoes" is a delightful and whimsical film that takes the concept of anthropomorphic objects to new heights. The film follows a pair of shoes that come to life and embark on a journey of self-discovery. The cinematography is top-notch, with the shoes' expressions and movements conveying a range of emotions that are surprisingly relatable. The film's humor is clever and charming, and the story is both heartwarming and inspiring. "In My Shoes" is a testament to the power of self-confidence and the importance of finding one's place in the world. It is a must-see for anyone who loves Loay's work or has ever wondered what their shoes might feel if they could be alive.
I was part of the short film "In my Shoe" in 2020 as a First Camera assistant with the great D. O. P Khalid. And was waiting to watch the final movie for a long time but for some reasons didn't get the chance the watch the screenings. Finally the writer and Director Loey send me a copy. A movie is always a fantasy of a writer who over thinks about the environment around them. And my Loey portrayed a story of a non living thing (a shoe) and showed us how a life of a shoe can have a starting and an end while going through the life of different human and society. All I can say is it a perfect example of Anthropomorphic.
