Bloody Daddy

"Bloody Daddy," available on Jio Cinema, is a nice movie with an intriguing plot and a talented ensemble cast, featuring Shahid Kapoor, Ronit Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Diana Penty. The film revolves around a drug deal, entangling a group of cops determined to thwart it. Amidst the involvement of affluent youngsters, chaos ensues, leading to unforeseen consequences. Shahid Kapoor's portrayal of a devoted cop and a caring father is truly commendable, adding depth and emotion to the narrative.

The movie excels in its storytelling, keeping the audience engaged, particularly in the first half. However, the second half loses some momentum, as certain twists become predictable. Nonetheless, Shahid Kapoor and Ronit Roy deliver stellar performances, carrying the movie with their strong acting skills. The rest of the cast also does a commendable job.

The background score complements the movie well, although it could have been elevated to match the intensity of the plot. Despite this, the film maintains a good pace, ensuring viewers remain hooked till the end with its numerous twists and turns. The gripping story, sprinkled with emotional moments, notably Shahid's touching bond with his son, adds another layer of depth to the narrative.

Overall, "Bloody Daddy" is a satisfying choice for a Saturday night binge-watch. It offers a compelling and absorbing cinematic experience, making it a must-watch for fans of the thriller genre. I rate it 7 out of 10, as it concludes well, but a slightly stronger ending could have enhanced the overall impact. Regardless, it remains an engaging movie that will leave audiences entertained and invested throughout its runtime.

As a well wisher of Shahid, it pains me to see and state that this was such a massive disappointment!

Bloody Daddy's teaser and trailer led me to believe that it would be an action-packed, rugged, and stylish crime drama. I was unaware that there would be only twenty five minutes worth of stunts and choreography, while the remainder of the movie is a puerile attempt at developing a revenge plot that tends to revolve around an abduction and subsequent rescue operation.

The first half is unbelievably bad; the drama is unpersuasive, the dynamics don't seem to work, and the performances failed to convince me of the actual gravity of the situation. The second half of the film becomes mildly interesting, the pace quickens, and the characters get more and more desperate.

This sudden turn of events increased the risk factor, which led to some impressive hand-to-hand fight sequences, but the underlying drama failed to have a positive influence. And I would like to place the blame for this failure on the editing and the incredibly poor dialogue writing. If truth be told, I didn't expect such inferiority from someone like Ali Abbas Zafar.

P. S. Shahid looks great while performing action, and I believe that, with better scripts and stories, he could become a viable action hero - not the massy type, but the classy one.

Bloody Daddy is for Shahid Kapoor fans. The movie has Shahid Kapoor written all over it. He steals the show! He is great as an actor and especially he is great at playing a dad! Jersey had proved that already!

Average music, average acting by Diana Penty and Rajeev Khandelwal. Ronit Roy had his moments!

A must watch for SK fans but nothing new. Quite an average storyline, obvious sequences and average background score.

The movie had a lot of potential but clearly couldn't do much.

The trailer of the movie is much much much better than the actual movie. I mean what was the need of this copy😵 I mean why do you copy things so badly of-course shahid looked handsome but it was a movie not a wedding. No proper action sequence from an action based movie. The directors these days think thay movie is all about some fancy guns. I do not know when bollywood will start making some real content. I believe the only thing which you can watch in the movie is some fancy buildings and luxury hotels in gurugram apart from the charisma of shahid kapoor. So guys if you are really planning to watch this then you can easily skip this😝

This review is based on not seeing the movies priors to this remake, both the french and tamil one. It was full of thrill and entertainment. Felt like I have seen Diana being an actress, a good one after so long. Shahid is getting real comfortable in playing wacky minded characters, and we see it. Hope Bollywood comes out with similar movies, less exaggerated scenes like in this one, good plot with good actors but please no more remakes. Bollywood step up your game, and not just by only recreating other films in hindi! The soundtracks in the film were also different, and fun to listen to. Some scenes were actually hilarious too.
