Going to disagree with the other reviewers... the characters are likeable, the action is exciting, the show is visually stunning, and I feel like I've taken a beach vacation after watching an episode... this show has its place and I hope it gains a following!!
The attention to detail in the set design, the underwater camera work, and the way it seems like these actors actually learned the jet skiing and rescue swimming... other shows can have their award-winning acting and dialogue (really enjoying The Old Man right now for that kind of thing)... this is still a roaring good time.
Let's hope the 9-11 lead-in buys it some time and viewership... looking forward to every episode.

Well, another show bites the dust. Another great show. Another show that deserved way more than just one season.
Why do networks do this, especially Fox?! They keep all the crappy stuff and then cancel the stuff that they should be keeping. It's so frustrating! 😠
I made sure to tune in every week to see that show and it was worth it. The scenery was gorgeous and I liked the acting. There was nothing about it that I could say was bad, especially worth canceling over. But, most major networks today, if they don't like it then it's gone and to hell with what the viewers think.
I wish they would listen to the viewers and keep the good shows. Maybe we'll be lucky enough that another network will pick it up. One can only hope. 😕🤞

Rescue: HI-Surf
Rescue: HI-Surf Review
"Rescue: HI-Surf" has all the ingredients for a hit series, yet it stumbles with its lead characters. Arielle Kebbel stars as Emily Wright, the main protagonist whose performance feels flat, compounded by a character that lacks depth and development. Her love interest, Will Ready, portrayed by an Australian actor, shows potential but is underutilized, left with little to do to advance the plot or showcase his acting chops.
At its core, "Rescue: HI-Surf" feels like a modern-day "Baywatch" with the storytelling ambition of "9-1-1." Filmed against the stunning backdrop of Hawaii, the series benefits immensely from its picturesque setting, which adds a vibrant visual appeal. The secondary cast is where the show shines, featuring well-cast actors who bring authenticity and energy to their roles, making the supporting storylines engaging.
Currently, "Rescue: HI-Surf" sits in a middling territory - it's enjoyable enough if you stumble upon it, but not compelling enough to ensure weekly viewership. To elevate from a one-season wonder to a long-running series, significant changes are necessary. Replacing the lead actress with someone who can add more charisma and depth to Emily, along with sharpening the writing to include stronger, more dynamic storylines, could turn this show into a must-watch. Without these changes, "Rescue: HI-Surf" risks being just another fleeting entry in the TV landscape.

Story is ok kind of slow. But the action sequences are top tier with the camera angels. Seems like a modern day bay watch for this generation if of tv viewers with the similar drama. Hopefully the branching stories don't get stale in the long run. Hawaii is a great choice since the north shore is one of the most dangerous beaches in the e tire world to surf. Knowing fox they will axe this show after one season since modern television shows now these days don't last no more than a season of all platforms of streaming and cable TV networks. But overall it's a good popcorn on your couch type of television fun.
Welcome to North Shore unless you're in the recording booth doing post production audio replacement dialogue.. Someone should've worked on that a little bit more because some dialogue sounds janky, other bits are really noticeable and it's fine but you think it would've been picked up?.
Well not many shows set on the beach other then reality TV or all the seasons of Bondi Rescue.
This is like Bondi Rescue but not in Sydney. It's set in Hawaii which is stunning in this and it was great to see Robbie Magasiva playing Sonny, he finally looks settled and happy post Wentworth and while I love him, I see the character battling some bad demons.
Sonny made a deal with the 'devil' hoping he sees that persons lies soon enough.
Here for the banter between characters keeping it real in a dangerous profession and being there for each other when needed.

- WissenswertesThe notoriously high levels of traffic on Oahu made logistics for production very difficult. Transporting equipment, cast, and crew was often handled between 1-5 AM to avoid gridlock and difficult conditions traversing the crowded island.
