I found this movie to be very entertaining. It was so fun to watch. It may have been a silly movie, but I am very impressed with the fact that they did not use ANY CGI. That was refreshing. This movie shows that the people who directed it put heart into it. The dialog and acting was as if they were new actors putting their all into it. I hope that this movie becomes a "cult classic" because I want all the supporting gear. It made me smile the whole time. I wish to see more movies like this in the future. I would buy a collection of them.
I told everyone I know who loves horror movies to see it too.

Just watched BYTE and I gotta say, it was a lot more fun than I expected! It's an indie horror movie that doesn't try to be anything overly fancy, but it delivers a good time. The premise is a bit wild, but it manages to keep you engaged throughout, and the practical effects on the werewolf are pretty impressive for a lower-budget film.
The acting can be a little hit or miss, and there are some slower moments, but it definitely picks up towards the end. The film has this charming, campy vibe that works really well if you're into quirky horror flicks. It doesn't try to be groundbreaking, but it knows what it's doing and has a lot of fun with the concept.
If you're a fan of werewolf films or just looking for a light, bloody horror movie to pass the time, BYTE is worth checking out!

As a fellow werewolf enthusiast, I was intrigued by the premise of Byte (2024), which offers a modern twist on lycanthropy through a mysterious app. The concept is innovative, blending technology with classic horror elements, and it sets the stage for a potentially engaging narrative.
However, the film's execution leaves much to be desired. The pacing is uneven, with significant lulls that detract from the overall tension. Character development is minimal, making it challenging to connect with the protagonists on a deeper level. The dialogue often feels stilted, and some plot points lack coherence, leading to a disjointed viewing experience.
On a positive note, the practical effects, particularly the werewolf design, are commendable for an independent production. The creature's appearance pays homage to classic werewolf portrayals, which may resonate with genre fans. However, the film could have benefited from more dynamic transformation sequences to heighten the horror elements.
In summary, while Byte introduces an intriguing premise, it falls short in execution. For die-hard werewolf aficionados, it might be worth a watch for its unique concept and practical effects, but tempering expectations is advisable.

This movie has one of my new favorite genre type. Social media fueled horror. Horror that includes a social media feature. The actors aren't top tier, but they're great for what this movie is. It's classic bad(loving) Horror. Things aren't super high tech and the scenes where the werewolf attacks are lovingly tacky. I personally think it's entertaining as heck.
I personally love the design of the werewolf. It's unquie to this movie as a whole. It's got all the classic ear marks of those so bad they're good horror movies that I personally love watching. The acting is just good enough to be silly and bad. It's a great movie overall in my opinion and I love the concept.

Lemme start off with saying, when it comes to my Horror movies, I prefer them mostly scary, serious, and making me wanna jump out of my seat. . . This movie, is mostly your B-Rate, Cheesy film, but perhaps a lil better.. So, if that's your schtick, this movie is for you.
This movie has an interesting plot, and takes on a modern vibe for the movie, with cell phones, apps etc etc, hence the word, BYTE rather than Bite.
The effects, prosthetics, staging, setups, storyline and whatnot were fairly decent, but, I was totally taken out with the ketchup squirt blood, bad acting, and forced plot...
If the movie KNOWS it's a cheesy movie, it's one thing, when a movie TRIES to be cheesy and nails it, is another. I'm not sure which one that the cast and crew were going for. . .
