Vinnie's Vantastic Rock N Roll Adventure

Caught this on Tubi. Really enjoyable and unique road trip comedy that follows an unlikely hero's journey along Route 66 on his quest to revive his youthful dreams. The film is comprised of a series of vignettes where the hero finds himself in one mishap after another. What makes this indie comedy stand out is the unexpected and highly creative humor in the dialogue, characters and how each scene plays out. The film does play off stereotypes but never strays into cheap shots or cliches but makes each new quirky character three dimensional and compelling. The film covers a surprising amount of ground, never gets boring and is pretty ambitious for being made by such a small team. Appears this is a spinoff of an earlier film called WJHC-AM so I'm checking that out next.
