This is a fairly dumb romantic drama about Leyla, a 30yo lawyer who works for her uncle's firm, and who is torn between different men. Her friends are also her coworkers and everyone' lives revolve around her life's dramatic episodes. She is mostly portrayed getting sad/angry-drunk and bouncing between two main suitors. One of the suitors is a long-term partner and the other is someone she barely knows (and he barely knows her).
A flash forward device is used to preface the story at the beginning of each chapter/episode. The structure and writing is very much like a contemporary telenovela. I mainly watched this because it is set in Turkey and I was nostalgic for a past trip that I took there., and not because of the story.

Okay..just finished #KimlerGeldiKimlerGeçti..a super light, feel good, romantic comedy with a slight drama. If you just want to feel good and de-stress yourself, this is definitely your TVSeries. A little giddiness but in the end, you will root for Leyla to just stay single & leave men behind. Leyla Taylan made me believe that my decision to stay single forever was definitely a yes!!!!!! Leyla Taylan also gave me an idea to have a dog by now. I love her so much and Badi.. Turkish shows are like fashion shows, I love all their stylings, especially Avukat Leyla, very classy, sophisticated and just womanly. Sporty Leyla too.
I was reading New York Times newspaper writer Lulu Garcia Navarro interview with Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos
She talked about the series Thank You Next
starring Serenay Sarikaya and said
My latest obsession is a Turkish TV series called Thank You Next
I was like ok let's give a chance
Since I have obsession with romantic comedy But when I watched it I was shocked cuz it's beyond just a fun romantic comedy
It's story line is so deep especially when it comes to episode 6 to 8
It's about nowadays relationship issues and when you watch the series you can easily find signs from your own life
The leading actor carried the show Also the male leadings had great job
The whole team nailed it
Looking forward for season two
I also checked Netflix charts and it was on the charts for three weeks in row now airing
Also I it's a big success for Turkish series
So to anyone who's reading this be sure you can easily watch it.
The series was simply magnificent. We watched so many relationships in life that there were moments when I cried, laughed and went back to the past. Today's insincere relationships were summarized very well. Relationships that start with love bombing and end with gosthing.
Ömer and Leyla's relationship reminded me of the TV series "First and Son". The perfect beginning of the relationship, its wear and tear over time when we start living in the same house, the introduction of lies, mediocrity and deception, and the effort to continue a relationship that has ended. At first, I believed in the relationship between Ömer and Leyla and the possibility of it getting better when they gave it another chance. I loved this relationship. It means that I still trust men enough to not understand that Ömer is lying :) The reason why I believe in this relationship is It was Leyla's parents who were able to recover and continue where they left off, despite the unpleasant things they experienced. So to speak, "The end of patience is salvation." I thought. Because marriages used to be like this. We don't often see the perfect marriages depicted in movies in real life.
But we know people who have experienced ups and downs, passed through very critical tests, and managed to grow their marriages. I thought Leyla and Ömer might be like this too. That's why I was disappointed that Ömer continued to cheat on Leyla, but it also added realism Because there are many more examples of such relationships today. There are thousands of relationships that make promises to each other and repeat the same behaviors with promises like everything will be different from now on, we are turning a new page, we are changing. As for Cem Murathan, Hakan Kurtas, good thing you are You play this character and you continue to amaze me. Cem was a very contradictory character. We knew him as an arrogant and narcissistic person, but over time we saw his completely different sides. I think we will watch more Leyla and Cem in the second season. Normally such a directory would have In the last episode, we were shown Leyla Ömer's happy ending. Their past, their loyalty, knowing each other for years, etc. For reasons like this, but I'm glad they didn't become clichés because the course of the story made me realize that long-term relationships can also come to an end and not always have a happy ending.
It reminds me that people can change within a relationship and one day they will no longer be able to look at life from the same window (it is debatable how happy the ending of marriage is), and unlike many TV series, it makes me feel like I am watching a real-life story.

I cannot express into words the love I have for Serenay Sarikaya and her talent, her performance is so natural and genuine. She makes others shine because she illuminates them with her own light. She is not a selfish actress, she let others take their own light. You can see the camaraderie of the casts. It feels like they are all really friends. As to the series, it os definitely worth watching. Everything Serenay touch turns into gold like they said. This is one good project for her. After being Duru Durulay in FiCiPi, shasu in Shahmaran and Devin in Aile, Avukat Leyla Taylan is such light character that I am sure she enjoyed portraying.
