Very thought provoking film. Story line portrays very current topic. With the idea of being famous high on our current generation of teens agenda. The film is a stark warning at the price of fame and how young people are not always equipped with the tools to deal with it emotionally.
Lilly Brunson was very convincing in her performance of a young person in a relationship, when fame is offered to her boyfriend she pays the price. Charlie Goddard, was also very convincing in his role.
Both are worthy of their roles and portray the films plot very well indeed.
A very well made independent film.

This was a great film! I was struck by the quality of the cinematography and storytelling. "Look to the Light" is thought-provoking, humorous, and thoroughly enjoyable. By the end of the film, I was on the edge of my seat.
The story focuses on a young man, a wannabe influencer, whose life takes a dramatic turn when he is cast in the hit TV show "Love on The Rocks." Faced with the dilemma of staying with his faithful girlfriend Lauren or pursuing superficial fame, Eddie begins a roller coaster journey navigating the ups and downs of the life he has chosen.
The subject matter - love, fame, loss, mental health - is on trend and topical. The characters were realistic and engaging, with some real stand-out moments. It was fascinating to see how they developed over the course of the film.
This independent film punches well above its weight, delivering a compelling narrative that explores the darker side of reality TV fame and its impact on mental health. It masterfully weaves a tale that is both gripping and heartbreaking, making "Look to the Light" a must-see.

This film takes you on a journey, the cinematography, writing, music and acting all come together to create what is a memorable and thought provoking film.
I feel the subject matter is not one that is touched on enough in movies, it looks at what goes on in the mind of someone who wants fast track fame through reality tv and the effect it has on his relationships. It's intriguing and interesting to see the reality behind reality tv.
The character development (which I know is a bit of a film buzz word) Is truly there. The characters really go on a journey and you are there gripped with them the entire time.
Some might think they see where this film is going but at the last minute I do believe it surprises you. This film is not predictable like most movies. It is an independent movie that competes way above its weight class.
Most certainly worth a watch.

I didn't know what to expect when I started watching, but about ten minutes in, I was completely gripped. The film is beautifully written and directed, capturing my attention right from the start. The cast's performances were very good, nice to see some young new talent. Lily Blunsom-Washbrook's performance was exceptional she brought real depth and authenticity to her character. The story is filled with twists and turns, keeping me on the edge of my seat throughout its runtime.
I laughed, I cried, and I was thoroughly entertained from beginning to end. This film is definitely well worth watching. One of its strengths is how it touches on current topics, making it particularly relevant for younger audiences. These timely themes are seamlessly woven into the narrative, offering both insight and reflection.
However, what I enjoyed most was the exploration of family dynamics. The relationships portrayed are complex and realistic, resonating deeply with me. The film does an excellent job of portraying the intricacies of familial bonds, highlighting both the conflicts and the love that bind families together.
Overall, this film is a masterful blend of compelling storytelling, refreshing acting, and thoughtful direction. It's a must-see that will leave you thinking long after the credits roll. If you're looking for a movie that entertains while also offering meaningful commentary, this one should be at the top of your list.

I just could not stop watching because in got intrigued by how the creators of this movie attempted again and again, in almost literally every scene, to invoke a sense of tension, drama and finger-pointing life-lessons by just piling up cliché characters with a shallow storyline, over-acting characters and - what I thought was most annoying of all - continuous dramatic music.
Even if there is not tension whatsoever in a scene, the music will built up, increase in tension to reach avclimax while the script/scene does not deliver any drama or tension. It's literally exhausting because the brain gets mixed signals all the time. By the second part of the movie, you will just start ignoring the music alltogether because it's so out-of-sync that it's not credible anymore. A bit like a child who always makes jokes about being hurt, and then when actually gets hurt nobody reactis anymore.
I always do try to watch these kinds of movies till the end because it usually makes me appreciate the next movie I watch so much more LOL.
