The Caller

Bank tellers are routinely trained to recognize scams and fraud. It was clear that Shannon (Andrea Pazmino) was letting her chaotic personal life distract her from her job. She either forgot or ignored her training and fell for a scam. She even gave the scammer her full name, and the name of the school her young son attended. She made the situation worse by trying to get help from various departments to stop the transaction, and to conceal what she had done from her boss. Not going to her boss was understandable. Her boss was a witch and really should not have been in a managerial position that supervised people. She was definitely not a leader.

This movie is a one woman show and Ms Pazmino handles her lead roll very well. She does a good job.

This is kind of a weak script. But Ms Pazmino manages to keep me entertained.

A lot of pressure on actress Andrea Pazmino. She was the only one on camera for about 90% of this movie. She ran the gamut of emotions and did an admirable job in the lead role. Although it may be difficult for some viewers to fathom that Shannon could fall prey to a con like the one in the film, i think it demonstrates that the character had compassion and empathy and was led astray trying to do the right thing.

This was one of the few LMN movies of 2024 that really held my attention throughout. Ms. Pazmino did an admirable job and I hope that i see much more of her in the future.

This one is definitely worth a watch.
