Tomorrow I Die

I'm not so proud to be Hungarian RN.

The story was terrible; the acting felt out of place; insignificant conversations, actions and EVEN characters.

No, I am definitely not talking about Kornél and Donát, what do you mean?

The only things that I liked about this movie were the cringe level of Donát and the some of the one-liners of Marci.

This movie wanted to be cryptic and mysterious yet it was just irritating and ... my Jesus Christ ... pointless.

By end of the film I was joking about making a drinking game where we have to take a shot every time we see a levander. The reused frames are just weak excuses of recurring motifs.

About the horror part... NO!

There were like 2 jumpscares that actually got me, but I never felt an unnerving atmosphere which IMO should be the whole point (judging by the topic of the movie). No lasting impression at all. No tension. No build-up. Bad settings. Illogical decisions. Yeah, ok... the last one is totally normal for a horror.

Do you really want me to be satisfied with just Irma being incomprehensible for 20 minutes straight? AND I AM HUNGARIAN WTF? Do you really want me to believe such a BS when she is screaming at same time Stefi was looking for her all night, not hearing any of this?

I could go on for days, but let me say this... Hungarian people should never be allowed to make a horror movie. We can make good comedies tho. Even this movie was sorta funny... sorta.

I caught Tomorrow I Die at the Warsaw Film Festival, and wow-what an experience. This film dives deep into eerie, psychological territory with Irma, a pregnant woman hiding out in a remote cabin, haunted by the feeling she might die on her 34th birthday-the same age her mother passed away. She invites her half-brother and best friend for comfort, but things just get weirder and darker as strange events unfold around them.

The tension is nonstop, and the actress nails it as Irma, bringing both vulnerability and strength. The cinematography is stunning, making the forest feel both beautiful and terrifying. It's a perfect blend of suspense and atmosphere that keeps you guessing. If you're into psychological thrillers, this is one you won't want to miss!

Tomorrow I Die tries so hard to be deep and tragic, but sadly fails on every level. The story could have been emotional or suspenseful - if only the actors didn't look like they're reciting lines at a high school drama club.

The characters are painfully flat, the dialogue is awkward and forced, and any attempt at tension just turns into second-hand embarrassment.

Visually, it tries to look artsy - dark filters, water symbolism, smudged face paint - but no amount of gloomy shots can hide the fact that there's simply no real plot to hold it all together.

If you're in the mood for a cringe-watch with a beer and some friends, fine, you might squeeze some laughs out of it. But if you're expecting real psychological depth or an actual thriller, run far, far away.

Summary: Tomorrow I really will die - from boredom.
