Unlike most guessed ending about 7 minutes in and while giving some actors props that first scene when they were touring the house - just absolutely painful - those silences that lingered - Drew tried to carry it against the overacting 101 she was up against but no one could put lipstick on that pig
Was actually looking forward but to this but honestly it just was not worth 90 minutes of my life
If you're a Real Housewives of Atlanta fan can see you clicking this on Peacock but even with that you may find it a slog to get through to the end - or just fast forward to the final 5 minutes
Guess for a first movie attempt at really low budget maybe the movie gets a pass too but next time spend the money so all your actors are of the same level.
This film follows Nina (Drew Sidora) and Maurice (Rob Riley), a married couple who decide to explore an unconventional idea - a "hall pass" from fidelity.
What starts as a straightforward concept takes an unexpected turn,
leading to deception and intrigue.
The film's clever storytelling keeps viewers on the edge, surprising them with unexpected plot twists just when they think they've figured it all out.
In "The Pass," creative storytelling and gripping intrigue blend seamlessly to deliver an engaging cinematic experience.
While Kandi shines on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" and in her music career, her foray into acting might not be her strongest suit.
Her performances lack conviction and appear somewhat lackluster. In "The Pass," her portrayal falls a bit short, lacking the necessary depth.
However, the film remains enjoyable, especially with a glass of wine in hand. The drama.

A few things: I don't like being negative but the 2 stars are for Drew's acting and Todd for his first movie. The -8 stars are for the following harsh but honest observations:
There are a few decent amateur actors like Drew's mom & boss but every other actor was awful! Very hard to watch.
Personally, I think Todd & Kandi had the oppty to elevate our people and not use the "N" word but apparently they think that's how all AA speak to each other which is sad. Not 1 man in the entire film had screen appeal and their acting was cringey. Drew's sex scene was the only thing that demonstrated acting.

Wow! This was such a creative story line. You think it's one thing, it evolves into another. Just when you think you got it figured it out...BAM! Plot twist.
This was definitely not your typical "Pass" movie. If you ask me, it surpasses them all. It does have an ounce of low budget vibes, but I think they filmed this in 10 days. Which is honestly super shocking considering. Also I think they filmed the majority of it Kandi's house.
Kandi's character also cracked me up! It was so fun getting to watch her play the feisty friend. I couldn't tell she was acting.
I'm ready for the next Todd & Kandi film!!

I hate to say it because I absolutely love Todd and Kandi, but I couldn't even finish this movie. I enjoyed the plot line, but the acting was so bad it ruined it all for me. I hope they do another project with better acting. Kandi did a great job, but I expect nothing less from her. Seriously, every other actor/actress made my skin crawl. The dramatic responses were so overly dramatic it made me think of a high school play. And I don't know if it was intentional, but the mother reminded me of someone very real in Todd and Kandi's life. Sadly I will not recommend this movie to anyone. Thumbs down from me.
