Para kang papa mo

The movie made me cry because it really portrayed a father's love towards its children, the movie made me laugh, cry, and honestly made me think a lot after the movie, it even made me realize how hard life can get and how unfair it really is, i feel like them swearing should be lessened at some parts since at some scenes they were saying too much, but overall it's an amazing movie, though there may be a lot of sexual alludes and swear words, it genuinely made me rethink and realize so much. It has a diverse amount of lessons like betrayal, forgiveness, mourning, and acceptance. And even if it's been such a long time since this was made, it's really refreshing to see something that leans onto family rather than those romance films, i hope more films can be released like this, please, and it's been such a long time since i've absolutely cried over a movie so i'm glad that i got to cry over this one.

The premise of this film was nice, the trailer and marketing of Para Kang Papa Mo, really convinced me to think that it would focus more on the father-son relationship, however, the story fell flat. We've only seen one scene between the father and son; which makes their bond disconnected and lacking emotional value that just made the story dry.

The writing is absurd. I don't know if it is due to the script's fault or how the actors over-acted those vulgar words, but it makes it seem unnatural whenever a film includes the overuse of curse language. Can we please normalize toning them down?

I don't know how to rate this but Mark Anthony could easily pass to play as Ninoy Aquino for a biopic (if the Philippines' production companies would be up for it).
