Memorizing Alison

JP Allen is one of the most exciting indy filmmakers in North America. His scripts are lean, full of mystery and manage to be actively poetic. The gorgeous aloof and enticing city of San Francisco is always a prominent character in his films. JP is masterful at weaving dialogue with imagery and he allows for silence and reflection in a way that is captivating and intimate. I learn something every time I watch one of his films (as a writer). He is audaciously original and panders to nobody, yet manages to be utterly entertaining.

Honest and thoughtful work from the actors, and as always, a terrific soundtrack. Beautifully produced.
