My Review of Kondal (2024): A Solid Action Thriller with Flaws

Kondal is a gripping action-revenge thriller starring Antony Varghese. Set primarily on a fishing vessel, the film stands out for its realistic portrayal of life at sea and its intense, well-choreographed action sequences. Antony's performance is solid, adding depth to his brooding character. However, the second half loses momentum, with repetitive action scenes and underdeveloped characters. The CGI, particularly a shark scene, is subpar. Despite its flaws, Kondal is a visually compelling watch with strong technical elements. 7/10.

• The main character "Manuel" lives in a village- After getting into trouble, he decides to work on a fishing ship- He goes to work on the ship with about 15 crew members.- A death occurs, due to which the crew members get scared and get divided into two groups.

• After this, the story takes a new interesting turn and further events are shown in the movie.- Further, Jake reveals some new twists about Manuel's brother Daniel, then his revenge mode starts.

80% of the movie has been shot in the sea.

Sea scenes have been shown very well.

Mysterious things have been shown.

The scene with a fish is very beautiful.

First half Decent and second half Good Good Presentation Good Treatment Overall "Kondal is a best-made, #decent-#good to watch gripping sea thriller movie👍👍🤙 from a fisherman's side which depicts the life of a fisherman. Manual's story is full of trouble, fear, and mystery which will keep you glued to your seat."

Although Kondal had the ingredients to be a decent revenge film,While some moments feel predictable, the strong Performance.

VERY WELL DIRECTED SUPERB SOUND EFFECTS.

Almost whole movie is directed on a boat all the scenes are excellently directed . I can't believe that the movie's budget was only 6 crore. No special story although but the acting of all the cast was on point and Antony Varghese Pepe is looking so sexy .. overall i would say it's a movie that k can recommend to someone who jus wanna enjoy a nice cinematic experience with superb audio effects and who doesn't wanna think too much.

THE ENDING bruhhhhhhhh nothing thriller but to watch that action with the sound effects just so awesome.. absolutely recommended.

The movie is just wow I liked it the fights were so good there were so much efforts the technical department was so good especially the bgm the 1st half was just so good and the 2nd half too it's engaging and enjoyable but they could have improved the cgi and vfx a bit more in the climax. Don't expect too much and an rdx level movie just keep your expectations normal then you will like it it's my opinion and its just so good raj b shetty is not that impactful no special role for him don't keep hype on him for this movie. Overall it's a one time watchable movie a typical pepe revenge idi padam ok.

The effort and the quality given to the movie was amazing. I think more than 70 percentage of the movie is short in the sea itself which is not easy. VFX is not that good. I am a fan of movies which comes out of WEEKEND . All of them were amazing. But this one is not up to that level. Mainly because the motive of the lead character to join the crew is not justified anywhere. As off movie he never knew the facts earlier. But later in the movie it shows the different way. The action from Antony is so good. Some scenes were amazing. He is proving that he is made for action.. there were some extreme emotional scenes..
