I created my review title as a positive accolade because way too many of these vertical films go way overboard on stupid conniving subplots by a myriad of antagonists. These antagonist subplots usually wipe out the viewers ability to get fully engaged in the plot arc of the romance. This one was a dedicated romance throughout and the two antagonists (both female) were not much of a threat because the lover leads and the grandmother stayed loyal and quite understanding throughout. Noah Fearnley looks his best when he is clean shaven like this and the script did not call for him to act aloof and vindictive, as many of his other scripts do. The female lead is a good actress with good screen charisma. A bit bottom heavy, but otherwise attractive. I was pleasantly surprised with my overall enjoyment of this one.
