The beautiful public park that features prominently in the film is not really a public park. It is the grounds of Ireland's oldest hotel called Woodenbridge Hotel & Lodge located in Woodenbridge, Arklow, Ireland. The director Dave Thomas did not want to show the hotel but to give the impression the story takes place in a public park. The Cinematographer Colm Moloney had to carefully angle the camera to help create this illusion. The grounds are open to all visitors and are dog friendly.
